Race 1

#3 Vinyasa

#6 Classy Vision

#2 Dont Get Smart

#1 Oxesome

#3 VINYASA dueled between horses for about 3/8s of a

mile before backing out, then was unable to rebreak into

a headwind on June 11. She stretches back to a route for

her second start off of the bench. #6 CLASSY VISION

has had two good closing efforts over the Fort Erie turf

course, which had been difficult to close from too far back

on. Her last Woodbine start in 2019 was solid and she is

the only runner in this field to have raced around two

turns this year. #2 DONT GET SMART was able to pick

up a staggering leader to win on June 11. Nana Sav

came out of that race to break her maiden for $25,000

with a 69 Beyer. #1 OXESOME dueled ground while

dueling in the same race Vinyasa exits and finished

second, two lengths better than that foe. Her maiden win

came setting the pace around two turns.

Race 2

#5 Lokinforpursemonee

#2 Jurojin

#1 Be the Change

#7 OPTIC had a three-win season against conditioned

foes in Vancouver. He looks like the controlling speed

and hasn’t caught the toughest group of open horses for

his local debut. #5 LOKINFORPURSEMONEE stalked a

four horse duel, angled out and looked dangerous but

could not pass the ground saving winner on June 20. He

wheels back in 12 days and looks like a main contender.

#2 JUROJIN sat last and was able to rally to be a non-

threatening third behind Colleen’s Sailor and Devil Magic

two weeks ago. Neither of those foes return; he looks

logical for underneath. #1 BE THE CHANGE was an

even third at Fort Erie to kick off his season on June 16.

He had a few good runs at big odds locally last year.

Race 3

#4 Mizzona

#6 Rexdale

#1 Bel Tempo

#3 San Nicola Storm

#4 MIZZONA ran well to be fourth in a competitive

$15,000 race two weeks ago. This isn’t a super tough

group and the rise in value is more of a lateral move; she

could be tough in her second start off of the bench. #6

REXDALE ran evenly in a solid first level allowance on

June 13 to kick off her season. This looks like a much

easier spot. #1 BEL TEMPO saved all the ground and

rallied up the inside to be third in front of Mizzona two

weeks ago. Although she is frequently run in routes, her

lone win last year came in a one-turn mile and that last

race was solid; certainly worth consideration. #3 SAN

NICOLA STORM was lightly raced last year but had a

couple of okay efforts against tougher foes than this. She

was able to win off of the bench back in 2018; may go

overlooked on the odds board.

Race 4

#4 Joy’s Solution - Best Bet

#7 Court Return

#2 Jlohr Jan

#1 Big Cheeks

#4 JOY’S SOLUTION takes a significant jump in class

after a midpack finish for $25,000 on opening day. She

had some trouble in that race but ran well and should

greatly appreciate the return to the turf. Her July 20 start

over this course was a good effort over a tougher group

than this. #7 COURT RETURN proved she has no

business on the synthetic on November 20 and now gets

back to turf after the winter reset. Her turf form is solid;

figures to be the favourite. #2 JLOHR JAN broke slowly,

saved ground and chased a bit evenly in the stretch when

debuting on opening day. She didn’t run badly and should

appreciate the drop in for a tag. #1 BIG CHEEKS ran

decently on November 2 but has otherwise shown very

little. She drops in for a tag and draws well.

Race 5

#7 Victorian Moon

#4 Merino Wool

#5 Darlin Forever

#2 Trail Blazing Essa

#7 VICTORIAN MOON made the lead but was

outfinished in a very soft group of $15,000 foes on June

7. She races without blinkers for the first time. #4

MERINO WOOL dropped in for this price two weeks ago

and ran a credible third. Her speed figures fit consistently

with this group. #5 DARLIN FOREVER ran a mediocre

race in a soft group of males on debut in Vancouver last

year. Blinkers are added; a possible speed presence. #2

TRAIL BLAZING ESSA had a couple of midpack efforts

last year that could fit with this group.

Race 6

#2 Salieri

#7 Occasional View

#4 Fast Negotiations

#8 Wyatt’s Town

#2 SALIERI was part of a tough speed duel and tired in

the stretch on June 13. He could be the fastest out today;

the drop in value could help. #7 OCCASIONAL VIEW ran

evenly in the Welcome Back Handicap, a race where

there was little impact made from those at the back. He

may have needed that start; it’s tough not to respect an

18-time winner. #4 FAST NEGOTIATIONS has been off

for nearly a year. His turf form has been quite good,

including a runner up finish behind Reconfigure last year.

#8 WYATT’S TOWN came up empty in a second level

allowance dash on opening day. He returned with a quick

breeze 13 days later and now gets onto turf, a surface

that he ran very well on in his only start over.

Race 7

#2 Station Rock

#7 Royal Fuerst

#1 Gasconade

#4 Rapid Beat

#2 STATION ROCK was a decent second behind an

easy winner two weeks ago. He ran quite a few good turf

races during his busy 2019 campaign; this will be his first

on the inner turf. #7 ROYAL FUERST was in very solid

form after moving to this barn last fall. The turf is a new

question mark for him but he has to be considered based

on his string of good races at the end of 2019. #1

GASCONADE had to work for second but ran well to be

beaten a length on opening day. He has performed well

on turf before; worth a look if he offers a good price. #4

RAPID BEAT should be a pace factor here and may be

tough to catch if he shakes loose. He has been working

all winter at Penn National but never made the races

there; his fitness should not be a problem.

Race 8

#1 Canadian Secret

#2 Jersey Diamond

#6 Chairman Fiftyfive

#9 Jacobs Call

#3 Double the Heart

#1 CANADIAN SECRET came up empty in a solid

maiden allowance group on June 13. The drop in class

should be greatly beneficial; he ran some okay races as a

two year old. #2 JERSEY DIAMOND was an inexpensive

purchase in Ocala last year. The sire hits at 14% with first

timers; this one worked from the gate with Nicali’s

Discovery, who will debut in today’s fourth race. #6

CHAIRMAN FIFTYFIVE broke poorly from the widest

post and was a non-factor on June 7. He showed some

speed last year; a clean start combined with the class

drop could lead to a much improved performance. #9

JACOBS CALL had a poor trip and came up empty when

debuting over a wet track in Vancouver last year. The

blinkers come off; he should be a good price. #3

DOUBLE THE HEART debuts at age 4. Alternation is

nearly 10% with his first timers but has done very well

with his synthetic runners.
