Class of 2015 Motto: Graduation is an exciting time. It’s both an ending and a beginning; it’s

warm memories of the past and big dreams for the future.

The class of 2015 is Chiawana’s fifth graduating class. The graduation cere-mony is where students, parents, and community members come together to recognize your hard work and achieve-ments in meeting the rigorous gradua-tion requirements of Washington State. Our goal is to have each of you walk across the stage on June 6th in a cere-mony your families will be proud and excited to attend.

This brochure provides you with infor-mation you need regarding senior activities and graduation expectations so that you are able to participate in a classy ceremony with an appropriate mix of so-lemnity and celebration.

Important Dates

What do I wear? All seniors will wear caps and gowns and a special medallion for the

class of 2015. Students may also wear any medallions or cords given at an official

CHS-sponsored function. You may not wear leis until after the cer-emony. Students are expected to dress appropriately for a formal ceremony

o males: slacks, light-colored shirt, dress shoes o females: slacks, nice shirt and skirt, dress, appropriate shoes o everyone: no jeans, shorts, or flip flops or athletic shoes (sandals are OK)

Do NOT decorate your cap or gown.

Students will NOT be allowed to participate in the ceremony if they are not dressed appropriately.

Please do not bring objects that may disrupt the ceremony or distract from the speakers or students being honored. This is the only high school graduation you will have; let’s make it classy and let everyone’s hard work be recognized! There are the types of things that will not be allowed in the stands or on the field: balloons, umbrellas, air horns, beach balls, etc. These things are great fun, but save them for after the ceremony please.

According to Pasco School District Policy, only fully qualified seniors are allowed to participate in the

graduation ceremony. Those who are credit deficient, who failed a

required course, or have not com-pleted testing requirements are

ineligible and should make a plan with a counselor for completion of

diploma requirements.

Important! Attention Please!

Fines and Contracts BY MAY 29...

All textbooks and supplies must be turned in

The graduation contract must be turned in

All fees and fines must be cleared (this includes fees for ID badges.)

You will be assigned a seat after you are cleared for graduation.

There are 3 rehearsals. Be there! June 2, 8 am June 3, 9 am

June 5, 11:30 am

Guest Seating: Arrive Early for the Best Seats The west gates at Edgar Brown Stadium will open at approximately 5:00

p.m. Stairs must remain cleared during the ceremony (fire code). There are a small number of seats available for limited mobility guests and

wheel chairs along the top rail south of the press box. Because of limited space, there will be seating for only one escort per wheel chair.

Arrive at Pasco Christian Church, 1524 W. Marie, at 4:30 pm

Bring your caps and gowns, medallions, honor cords, etc.

Do NOT bring valuables (purses, phones, etc.). There is no place to store them, and you will not be allowed back into the church to retrieve them.

Support the Senior Class Party

Buy a MUM for your mom to wear to the ceremony.

Buy a t-shirt with everyone’s name.

Buy a ticket to the class party.

These are available for $10.00 each or $25.00 for all three!

Support the Senior Class Gift

Buy a class of 2015 t-shirt at the ASB office for $10.00

Graduation Party! Saturday June 6, 10 pm – 3 am, Lifequest Fitness

Celebrate with your class one last time! There will be lots of fun stuff including a climbing wall, Dutch Bros, casino tables, etc. along with awesome prizes!

$10.00 per person ° School ID required ° No drugs or alcohol allowed.

Senior Fest! Wednesday June 3, 12:35 pm, CHS Gym

This is your final send-off from CHS! There will be an awards cer-emony and senior slide show. Get your photos into Ms. LeDuc ASAP, no later than May 1.

Parents are welcome!

Senior BBQ! Friday June 5, 11:30 am, Ed-gar Brown

Free for graduating seniors! Come and enjoy a catered meal with your friends. This is also our only rehearsal at Edgar Brown Stadium; it is important that you attend! There are no busses, so report to the stadium on your own.

Wednesday May 27, 7 pm CHS Theater

Baccalaureate is an optional, non-denominational ceremony offering a quiet, intimate opportunity to reflect. Hosted by CHS Parents.
