Pinhole Camera• AKA Camera Obsucra• First pinhole camera

was invented around 1000AD by Alhazen.

• Images appear upside down

• The first successful photography was by Joseph Nicephore Niepce in 1826

Daguerrotype• Louis Jacques Mande

Daguerre used Niepce’s success to form the Daguerrotype in 1839.

• Used copper sheet coated in silver to create a black and white image.

• Very detailed and sharp images.

• One of a kind images.

Negatives• William Henry Fox

Talbot created the first negative.

• Sensitized paper with a silver salt solution.

• Perfected the process and called it a calotype.
