Having once entertained four English kings including Henry VIII, the Priory epitomises country house style, with modern touches that are sympathetic to the feel of the house.

You may arrive from 10.30am into our dressing room, a relaxing space providing perfect tranquillity. Ready for your hairdresser and make up artist to join you as you prepare for your ceremony.

Not just a day for the bride, every participant is made to feel special. We welcome you into the library, a cosy space for pinning on button holes or for a tot of Dutch courage. Our Snowdrop Suite, can also be the perfect room to dress and impress!

Situated adjacent to the Panelled Hall, the Buchanan Hall with its luxurious neutral palette creates a wonderful setting to say “I do”. The bay window is the perfect spot for your bridesmaids and page boys, or a string quartet.

After arriving through the archway of Nottinghamshire’s last remaining Grade 1 listed Tudor Gatehouse, your guests enter the house straight into our Oak Panelled Hall. One of our most popular rooms for ceremonies, it is atmospheric and steeped in history.

Our wonderful team of chefs at Hodsock Priory, led by Head Chef Mark Williamson, are on hand to provide a mouth-watering feast for your wedding. With a wealth of culinary expertise and imagination, Mark and his team will create the menu you most desire, whether it’s entirely your own design, or from the carefully curated menu selection.

We have an extensive wine cellar, with a range of carefully selected wines from around the world to suit all palates. We also provide a handy guide to food matching to complement your chosen menu.

For your evening party, we have a tempting array of casual evening food. From street food to BBQs and sourdough pizzas cooked in our wood-fired pizza oven.

Hodsock Priory has been hosting spectacular parties for centuries. Enter into the Pavilion surrounded by your loved ones and take your first dance as a married couple. Welcome your guests onto the dance floor and then party the night away to your favourite music!

We are delighted to serve night caps for your overnight guests to enjoy in our Library along with a midnight munchies board. Your guests are free to relax and celebrate a little longer into the night, before falling tired and happy into our sumptuous beds.

Along with our Wedding Suite, there are six guest bedrooms in the main house, including two family suites and a further ten bedrooms just down the garden path in the Courtyard. You and your guests will wake up to breathtaking views of the lake and gardens, before heading downstairs for a delicious breakfast in the Buchanan Hall. The perfect end to your Country House wedding celebration.

There is a minimum requirement of 40 guests on Monday-Wednesday, 60 guests on Fridays and Sundays and 75 guests on Saturdays throughout the year.

Book your personal one to one viewing with one

of our wedding specialists. Explore the Priory,

beautiful gardens and chat about your dream day.

Save the date for 7 days and if you wish to go

ahead, the paperwork will be drawn up and a

deposit of £3000 will be requested.

Now the real fun begins!

We hold wedding showcases and fairs throughout

the year. The perfect opportunity to show

your loved ones your beautiful venue and gain

inspiration.

You will be invited to a tasting event, where you will

have the chance to try a selection of dishes chosen

by our head chef.

Six months before your wedding, you will sit down

with your event manager to plan the finer details of

your day. We would ask you to settle your invoice

at this time and schedule your final planning

meeting six weeks before your wedding day.

In the week of your wedding, we will organise time

for you to drop off your “pretties” and stationery

and have a final run through with your event

manager.
