Mission Statement
We, the parishioners of Holy Spirit Catholic Church,
come together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit
to promote the mission of Jesus Christ by reaching
out in service, fostering Christian growth in our
families and spreading the Gospel of Jesus’ presence
in our community and beyond. We recognize the
fundamental importance of faith, prayer, fellowship
and a call to serve others.

Reminder: Due to the Privacy (HIPAA) Laws hos-
pitals are not able to notify us if you or a loved one
are admitted to the hospital. A family member must
notify us if you wish for a priest to visit the hospital
or are requesting an e-mailed prayer request.

The Youth Choir will be singing at the Confirma-
tion Mass on March 8th at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. If
you are in 6th through 12th grade and like to sing
consider joining the Youth Choir. We will be practic-
ing on February 23rd and March 1st from 6:00-7:30
p.m. at the Church. You must attend practices to sing
at Mass. If you have any questions please call Lisa

Knitters and crocheters, help is needed making bap-
tismal blankets and hats for Head Start. Work from

Thinking about Lenten resolutions? Here’s an
idea. The Holy Spirit Parish Council is sponsoring a
6 week series directed toward learning about commu-
nity problems and services available to meet the need.
The first program will open February 28th, with the
featured subject the services provided by Northside
Neighborhood House and our own St. Vincent de
Paul. The six sessions will be held each Friday eve-
ning during Lent following Stations of the Cross. A
soup and bread supper will be available to start the
evening. Join fellow parishioners at 6:00 p.m. for a
unique learning experience. Children are welcome to
come and play quietly in the back during the talk.

Pilgrimage/Retreat to Yellowstone National Park!
From October 11-16, 2020 Fr. Michael Cummins (a
priest of the Diocese of Knoxville) will be offering a
retreat in our nation’s first National Park. The days
will consist of wildlife viewing in the park early
morning through early afternoon followed by Mass,
retreat talks and prayer opportunities in late afternoon
and evening. Cost for the pilgrimage/retreat is
$1,995.00 (airfare not included). For more informa-
