Maths English Wider Curriculum Daily Task
Please ensure that your child has regular breaks. Don’t feel under pressure to do everything every day – every little bit you do will help your child. We would recommend trying to get into some sort of routine that works for you. Don’t compare yourself to friends and family, as everyone’s circumstances are different. We would really encourage you to email Miss Ward ([email protected]) with examples of work so that she can celebrate the work, suggest improvements and help to motivate your child. If you are stuck with anything then also email – don’t worry! This is new to us all and we are here to help. Thank you for working with us to ensure that your child’s learning continues

Sports Day Activity
Monday to Thursday –
This week I would like you to create a double page spread about rivers. Think back about what you have learnt
and use this to create your master piece. Below is an example of a double page spread –
This one is about the jungle, but notice how it is set out….
There is a large title, a drawing, information in boxes or stars. For yours be as creative as you like.
Here are a few ideas to get you started for your double page spread about rivers –
You could ask questions such as – Do you know where a river starts? Write your answer in a colourful
box.
Lift the flap - Use extra pieces of paper to create flaps. Write a statement, for
example - The river nile is the longest river in the world. YES or NO? Lift the flap to find the answer.
Use illustrations to support your writing.
Use the knowledge that you have learnt from the previous lessons.
This is your wider curriculum task for the week, so take your time and enjoy getting creative.
