I am a smal l town gir l f rom from Lynden, WA, and am prepared to

make big th ings happen with my passion as a graphic designer.

I am talented in the use of Adobe I l lustrator, Photoshop, and

InDesign in which I desire to constant ly be up to date wi th

new programs. The exper ience I have obtainted working as an

intern wi th The La Jol la Group and my exper ience with Genlux

Magazine, I have been able to exper ience di fferent aspects

of the design business and now have a dist inct v iew of my

profession.

Graduat ing f rom The Fashion Inst i tute of Design and

Merchandis ing in Los Angeles, CA in June 2013, I wi l l

earn my Associate of Arts Degree in Graphic Design. I am

Whole grains are among the healthiest

and best-tasting foods around. These

six hearty dinners -- soup, salad, even

burgers -- are proof positive.

Skillet-Seared Chickpea-Bulgur Burgers

Makes: 4 servings

Hands-on time: 20 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes

I N G R E D I E N TS2 tablespoons reduced-sodiumm soy sauce1 1/2 teaspoons light brown sugar1 1/2 tablespoons tahini1/2 teaspoon chili-garlic sauce8 ounces soba2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil4 cups thinly sliced Napa cabbage3 garlic cloves, minced2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger3 cups no-salt-added chicken broth1/2 pound medium shrimp, shelled and deveined2 scallions, thinly sliced

D I R E CT I O N S1. Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, tahini and chili-garlic sauce in a small bowl.2. Cook soba according to package directions; drain and rinse under cold water.3. Heat oil in a stockpot over medium-high heat. Add cabbage, garlic and ginger; saute 5 minutes. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add shrimp, soba and soy sauce mixture and simmer over medium heat until shrimp are just cooked through, about 2 minutes. Garnish with scallions.

weighs in under 500 calories.

I N G R E D I E N TS6 ounces whole-wheat linguine2 tablespoons pine nuts3 tablespoons olive oil1 garlic clove, roughly choppedPinch of salt plus additional for seasoning1 1/2 cups fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves1/2 cup (about 1 1/2 ounces) shredded Parmesan2 tablespoons water1/2 teaspoon lemon zest1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch1/4 medium onion, finely chopped1 cup canned or jarred quartered artichoke hearts, drained

D I R E CT I O N S1. Cook linguine according to package directions, reserving 1 1/2 cups pasta water; drain.2. Meanwhile, to make the pesto, puree pine nuts, 1 tablespoon oil, garlic and pinch of salt in a food processor until smooth. Add parsley and pulse until just combined, about five times. Add Par-mesan and water and pulse five times more. Stir in lemon zest.3. Pat chicken dry and season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
