TOPS?WHAT IS HU

The Habib University’s Talent Outreach, Promotion and Support Program (HU TOPS) has been launched to extend the benefits of world-class education to talented students all over Pakistan, regardless of their social or financial standing. Habib University believes in providing quality education with equal opportunity, nurturing young minds, irrespective of their educational, socio-economic and ethnic background. This exclusive scholarship program focuses on identifying brilliant students from the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) and Federal Board (FB) who have good academic standing and a passion for learning. HU TOPS scholars are inducted into a fully funded, four-year undergraduate experience at Habib University. The term fully funded refers to the complete tuition fee waiver.

Habib University ensures that its brilliant HU TOPS scholars are mentored to shape a thoughtful career and life path for themselves. They will become life-long learners, creative problem solvers and dynamic leaders with a passion to serve the community around them.

The Habib University TOPS process includes:• Working with schools, colleges, Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education and educational NGOs to identify talented students from various parts of the country

• Providing full financial assistance covering tuition, registration, and enrollment fee to candidates who qualify for admissions through TOPS.

WHO CAN APPLYFOR ADMISSIONTHROUGH THE

HU TOPS?

All those students who fulfill the following conditions, can apply for the HU TOPS Program.

• Graduated from/Enrolled in any Board of Intermediate Education or Federal Board of Pakistan• Have completed or will complete HSSC II by August 2016.• Have scored 80% or above in SSC (Matric) and 75% or above in HSSC (Intermediate).• Planning to pursue a four-year undergraduate program at Habib University

If you fulfill the eligibility requirements for the HU TOPS Program, follow the process outlined below:

REGISTERThere are no registration charges. Register yourself for HU-TOPS through any of the following ways • Access HU TOPS registration form at www.habib.edu.pk/hutops, fill it and submit it on-line. Scan the required documents and upload them OR• Download HU –TOPS Registration form from www.habib.edu.pk/hutops/apply. Fill it completely and print it. Courier it along with the required documents to Habib University. You can fill in the registration form attached with this brochure as well. You can also submit the form in person at the Office of Admissions.

QUALIFYParticipate in the HU TOPS Qualifying Round • Take TOPS Core Skills Test• Participate in a three-day long ‘Experience HU’ Program (Only applicants shortlisted from TOPS Core Skills Test will be invited for the program)

APPLY Successful applicants from the Qualifying Round will apply for Habib University Admission through HU TOPS. They will not be charged any admission application fee.

PREPAREThe HU TOPS Applicants will be invited to participate in a Free-of-cost Prep-Program to get ready for HU Admission Test. The Program will be organized in June 2016. Participation is not mandatory.

TAKE TESTHU TOPS Applicants will take the HU Entrance Examination in July 2016. They can submit SAT scores if they have taken the SAT I and scored an 1800.

ENROLL AT HABIB UNIVERSITYThe top 55 applicants will be offered admission in their selected degree program and the tuition fee of their four-year study at Habib University will be fully funded through scholarships and grants.
