Demo description: In this demonstration you will see how to navigate within Support

Portal to locate fixes for your installation via the Fix Central site.

Quick facts: A solution to a known issue you may be experiencing could have

already been solved in a Fix that is available for download today! Did you know as of August 2013 your IBM WebID must now be

associated to a valid Customer Number or Site Number to gain access to Fix Central?

Common challenges: If you do not have a WebID or it is not associated to your Customer

or Site Number you will not be able to login to the Fix Central site. Users are unsure of where to go to obtain a recommended fix for

their current installation. User is tasked with checking the Fix Central site for fixes related to

their installation when Signing up for Notifications allows IBM to notify you when one becomes available!

• Navigate to Support Portal at www.ibm.com/support and use the Product Lookup to display information about the product(s) you are interested in. Click the product in question with the option of defining a version and o/s. Click Go!

• You will now see Support Portal is catering to your Cognos BI needs by only displaying information pertaining to that product.

• Under the Downloads widget click “Downloads (fixes & PTFs)”

• By selecting Downloads (fixes & PTFs) you will launch a pop up to “Refine my fix list” by selecting a version and o/s.

• And a list of fixes available for Cognos BI v10.1 are displayed. Use the “Change your selection” drop downs to alter displayed results. Simply check the box next to the fix you need and click continue!

• Alternatively to Support Portal you can navigate directly to www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral
