PERSONA(FYING) SOCIAL MEDIA: BLOG DESCRIPTION

• The language of Communication that an Economics graduate and development practitioner speaks has a larger than life meaning. As a development practitioner turned postgraduate student of Communications at RMIT I define communication as a medium to transform lives of marginalized communities – a transformation that is socially, economically, and emotionally elevating; a transformation that cannot always be tangibly translated into increased sales or healthy balance sheets. With a keen interest in the concepts of globalization, I like to explore the role of communication in a globalized world, and its effects in economies, cultures and identities, and industries, especially within the context of my country Bangladesh and other developing nations also referred to as lesser worlds. My achievement to establish this objective till date includes writing about the sustainable trend of social marketing communication campaigns in Bangladesh, effects of glocalization in the country’s film industry, and posting on other issues evolving in and around the intricate world wide web of globalization.
