    Learning Objectives for Part A (The Secondary Source, Observation Part)

    1. The student should acquaint himself with the industry and different companies in

    that industry. Understand the past, present and future trends and challenges in theindustry. (INDUSTRY PROFILE)(First week)

    2. The student should acquaint himself with the company in which he/she is given to

    work. The learning areas would be the Vision, Mission, Values and BusinessProcesses of the company. (COMPANY PROFILE) (First Week)

    3. The Students Should visit various departments ( like administrative and operations

    departments) to understand in general the Objectives, Hierarchy, operationsprocess, data flow, communication patterns and performance of individual

    departments. Understand the inter-departmental relationships and dependencies.

    (DEPARTMENTAL DETAILS) (Second week)

    4. From the above understanding of the departments the student must be able to

    identify the gaps in the areas to work upon for improving their performance and thiswould be basis for further work to be carried in detail. If the company helps to find

    the gaps and entrusts the student, the student should work on those gaps. Thestudent should be able to list out these gaps in this report.(Third week)

    Learning Objective for Part B (The Primary Source, Research Part)

    1. Identify the gaps and formulate the problem with objectives to find out various

    solutions to achieve the same (This should be done in consultation with the guidein company and college also) (Fourth week onwards)

    2. State the hypothesis if any, research design, primary and secondary sources of data

    can be used and application of statistic3. Data analysis, Findings and Suggestions have to be done carefully.4. The entire process should be compiled and a report should be prepared.
