A. Login to iLearn using web browser
1. Open the web browser (e.g. Google chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc..) and key in Sunway
College Johor Bahru iLearn (web address - https://ilearn.sunway.edu.my/). Then, click the
“Log in” button.
2. Login using your student ID as username and your password.

3. After successful login, you should see the following page being displayed.

B. Accessing your courses
1. As a student, you are able to view the list of available/registered courses by clicking on the “My
courses” option:
2. Select the course you want to access to view all the resources/materials provided by your
lecturer.

C. Download notes/resources
1. At individual course page, you should be able to view all the topics posted by your respective
lecturer. This includes materials like notes, quizzes, assignment, submission link and etc.
2. Simply click on any note/file you want to download, then the file will be saved to your PC.
3. For PDF file, the browser will display the content of the PDF file once you click. You can click the
download button, and save it into your PC.

D. Upload file for submission
1. Lecturer might request you to submit assignment via a submission link. The following is an
example of submission link. Click the link to start the submission.
2. You can see the submission status of your given assignment including the due date, time
remaining to submit and last modified date. Click the “Add submission” button.
3. To submit your file, you can simply drag and drop the file you want to submit OR choose the “Add
file” option

4. If you choose “Add File” button, the following window will pop-up. Click “Choose File” to select
the files from your PC.
5. Select the file you want to submit, and click “Open”. After that, click “Upload this file”.

6. If you have accidentally selected the wrong file, you can change the submission by clicking on the
file icon. Then, click “Delete” to erase the file, and click “OK” to confirm the deletion. After that,
you can resubmit a new file.

E. Participate in a forum
1. Sometimes lecturer would require you to participate in a forum in iLearn. The following is an
example of forum activity.
2. Click the link to access to the forum. You can pose a question by clicking the “Add a new
discussion topic” button. You can also view all the topic(s) posted by your classmates.
3. You can reply to a discussion topic by clicking the “Reply” option. You can reply by using text or even upload a photo in the reply. Click “Post to forum” once you have finished typing.

F. Access iLearn messages
1. Sometimes lecturer would like to inform you about important updates or information via iLearn
message. You can read the messages by clicking the Message menu in the homepage. Click “See
all” to read all the messages in a new window.
2. You can reply to any of the messages by writing your messages accordingly. You can also send
new messages to anyone in your contact list by searching their name.

G. Calendar block
1. Calendar block displays a small version of the current month's calendar. It is used
to communicate the course schedule and inform about important course events, for instance
assignment deadlines. Events and due dates are color-coded according to categories.
2. Using the calendar block:
a. To navigate the month forward and backward, click the right and left arrows at the top of
the block.
b. To view a pop-up listing all events for a day, hover over the highlighted day.

c. To view the details for an event or activity, hover over a day, then, in the pop-up, click an
event name.

d. To view the full Calendar, and manually add events, click the name of the Month.
3. You can manually add events. In the Calendar block, click the name of the Month, and when the
Calendar opens, click New event (top-right).

4. Select the type of event (Course, Group, or User). Anyone can create a user event, but only
lecturers can create Course or Group events.
5. In the Event title field, enter a name for the event.
6. For Date, select the date and start time for the event.
7. Click Save and the course calendar will open displaying the new event.

H. Login to iLearn using Moodle App
1. Download “Moodle” app from Google Playstore (Android OS) or Appstore (iOS).
2. Once successful, click on the Moodle App icon.
3. You will be directed to a login page. Insert the web address of Sunway College Johor
Bahru Moodle page and click “CONNECT!”

4. Log in using your student ID as username and password and click “LOG IN”.

I. Accessing your courses using Moodle App
1. As a student, you are able to view the list of available/registered courses by clicking on the “My

view all the topics posted by your respective lecturer. This includes materials like notes, quizzes,
assignment, submission link and etc.
2. Simply click on any note/file you want to download, then the file will be opened in the respective
device’s application.

N. Keep up to date with calendar events
1. Site events, course events and user events can be viewed in the calendar. These calendar events
can be viewed offline and infinite scrolling is available. A colored dot represents an event or
activity. Tap on the box of a particular day/date to of events/activities for the day/date view the
list.
