ENGLISH BIBLE STUDY We have English Bible Study every Thursday at 6:30pm in the Parish office Conference room. Cost is $10 plus the cost of the study book. Each person is expected to bring a copy of the New American Bible. This year will be looking at the Gospel of Mark. All are welcomed and encouraged attend.

2018 BIBLE DIARY The Bible Diary 2018 books are in!! They are $15.00 each and are available in the Parish office. The Diary contains prayers, a Liturgical Catholic Calendar, Mysteries of the Rosary, Daily readings and an area to take notes every day. Get yours before we sell out!!

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE

The Oblate School of Theology is offering a free English as a Second Language course. It begins Jan 22 and ends in May. It meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. All books and materials will be supplied for free and there is no cost for the course. Students must call (210) 341-1366 to register. Ask for the Registrar. Se habla Español. Only 15 students will be accepted. First come first served.

ADULT CCD CLASSES Adult classes for Baptism and First Communion (Eucharist) will start on today, January 7 at 10:15am after the 9am Mass. Clas-ses will be held in the Conference room of the Parish office. The first class is important. It will be an orientation and prepa-ration for the sacraments of faith.

2018 ARCHBISHIOPS APPEAL The 2018 Archbishop’s Appeal has begun with a theme “In the Spirit of Love” and an overall Appeal goal of $4.5 million. Our 2018 Appeal parish goal is $9,560.38. The Archbishop’s Appeal is the annual ongoing effort of the Catholic community, which supports more than 40 ministries that evangelize Christ’s people locally in the faith and serves those in need. ***Ha comenzado ya la Campaña Anual del Arzobispo de 2018 con el tema En el Espíritu del Amor y un objetivo general de campaña de $4.5 millones. In the Prayers and Reflection for this week we are asked to give thought to how we cultivate the gifts God has given us to manage. The daily meditations this week will lead us to a deeper understanding of how the more we nourish and cultivate God’s gifts, the more readily we are willing to share those with others. Please take the time this week to reflect on the daily readings. ***En las oraciones y reflexiones para esta semana se nos pide pensar en como podemos cultivar y manejar los dones que Dios nos ha dado.
