It is indeed a moment of pride for FSAI to publish another edion of much awaited Bi-monthly Newsleer “FSAI BUZZ”. On behalf of Fire & Security Associaon of India, I am very happy to say that we have once again taken a leap forward in promong awareness about Fire Safety and Security in India through this newsleer. India development story is likely to see many more High Rise Buildings & large building projects in near future where Fire Protecon, Life Safety and Security would become a major challenge if not taken care of by the Construcon Industry during design / implementaon & commissioning stages. Thoughul integraon of Architecture with electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural Engineering holds the key for an environment friendly and Safe Building design. FSAI has been working in close coordinaon with other engineering sociees like ISHRAE, IPA, IGBC etc., for encouraging an integrated development. Lack of proper guidance due to non-availability of proper guidance & educaonal material in this field has been a big challenge for the industry since long. The Building Codes and Standards developed by government agencies have become outdated and need to be revised as per todays needs so that they can guide the industry in correct direcon and FSAI has been very acve in this respect. FSAI through its various chapters have been very successful in organizing programs in educaonal instuons to inculcate the importance of Fire Safety in children at a young age so that they can grow into responsible cizens. I earnestly urge all the Companies and Manufacturers related to “Life Safety and Fire Protecon” to come forward and help FSAI in this noble cause of spreading awareness in a big way. I am happy to say that the FSAI Team has done commendable task by publishing the knowledgeable Newsleer which would turn out to be very useful in promong the science of fire safety & security engineering in India. Once again I would like to offer my special appreciaon towards all the team members of FSAI chapters for supporng the cause. Sincerely, Pankaj R. Dharkar
