7 And He said to them, It is not for you to

know times or seasons which the Father has

put in His own authority. 8 But you shall

receive power when the Holy Spirit has come

upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a]

in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,and to the end of the earth.

Jesus was answering a question and giving a

directive to His listeners. There question was in

regard to the long awaited promise of the

Messiah and then the kingdom that would ensue.

This kingdom has been long anticipated by the

Jewish race. The identity and tenacious

adherence to the foreshadowing of this kingdomthrough the written laws caused them to miss the

reality of the kingdom in Jesus Christ.

Tunnel vision caused them to miss the Messiah and Hisreal purpose which was that through this kingdom theentire message of the King was to be given. In theirrejection of the King and His message the church age

was birthed. It was the birthing of the church age thatwas so confusing to this group that was meeting on theday of Pentecost.

The church is not static but in a state of flux, always

changing and moving toward His plan. You are going tobe surprised before this is all said and done in not onlythe way God works but how He works.

The power that we have been ministering on isnot a way to impress the world but in fact is animpartation that indwells the believer uponembracing the eternal plan of God through Jesus.

It becomes a reality, we call it supernaturalbecause it is not the norm as we know normal.We have focused too much on the supernaturalas it relates to every day life. In fact, it is only a

by-product of the Christian life. It is whathappens in the kingdom and when kingdomculture is embraced.

The Jews had allowed the life of God in their

calling to become a religion. We are not trying to

become a religion. Religion can be described by

basically three types of world mentality.

Causative Type: Reason (Found in Western

cultures

Intuitive Type: Eastern Religion Imaginative Type: Animistic cultures ( the belief

that all objects have souls and spirits.)

Criteria of Religions

Compliance

Confidence

Dependence

Reverence

Transcendence

We have allowed ourselves to be thrown into thecategory of religion by not practicing our culturein every day life.

We are not causative, intuitive, or imaginativebut embrace reality. Reality is based on timespace history and the existence of an orderedsystem. The fact that we are able to come full

circle in answering lifes questions. We are bornagain into a kingdom of which the King is the onlyman to live and die and now lives again to bepresent with us, who now has the keys to death,

hell and the grave and has given us a guide in theHoly Ghost to help us navigate through this life.Jesus said I am with you, but the Holy Ghost shallbe in you.

You have now been commissioned to take this

message of reality to the world in which we live

and it is the message of hope.

I want you to relax in your calling, I dont want

you stressing over what we call the supernatural,

I want you to embrace the commission of the

gospel and sharing of this reality. You will besurprised at the power of God that shows up

when you walk and live in your everyday life.

Reality can only be known by the Spirit of God,but that Spirit imparts reality to the mind of thebeliever. The battle for the mind of man rages inembracing this reality, the bible says that the

great dragon, the old serpent, the Devil and Satanis out to deceive or change what is real into whatseems rational or can be reasoned but you areovercomers by the blood of the Lamb, the words

of your testimony, and that no greater love hathany man than that he lay down his life for hisfriends.

What is this kingdom about, what business are

we in?

Lets just take the Sermon on the Mount, this

is the culture of heaven and what we are

doing here and now

Again what business are wein?

If you have anything going with God at all, andmany embrace the mentality that it is justthem and God. God is in the business of

people. If you are in Him then your businessshould be the same as His.

This culture changing power that we havebeen preaching on only becomes activatedwhen the catalyst of being who we are is inplace. You shall be witnesses

The infection of culture must lay in how we navigate inour relationships. The Holy Spirit puts you in a rightrelationship with God, you must then put yourself in aright relationship with people.

Tell your story, this creates experience!

You want power, embrace the gospel, Paul said inRomans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel,

(good news for him) for it is the power ( what we all

long for) of God

Dont be a Peter Dont analyze Evangelize!!!!!!!

The power of God is unleashed as you tell

your story. As your life runs its course then

experience is added to your story.

Every great man and woman of God always

told their story, which was unique to them

and Gods dealings with them.

Moses, Joseph, Paul, Daniel, etc.

Power can become deceptive and self serving,

the only way and maybe what is missing in our

generation is the motivation behind the

scenes.

1 Corinthians 12:31 (New King James Version)

31 But earnestly desire the best[a] gifts. And yet

I show you a more excellent way.

The more excellent way supersedes all the mentality of todaysgeneration.

Love is that motivation, if you dont have it you will never see thepower of God in your life.

1 Corinthians 13

The Greatest Gift

1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but havenot love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 Andthough I have the gift ofprophecy, and understand all mysteriesand all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could

remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

This is what is going to change our culture andworld, it is the exemplary love of God as seenin the people of God.
