Inside my soul is
Hidden an Aching Vastness of Eternity,
A flaming desire to
Drown the sorrows Raging in yesterday and Entice the AmazingMagic of today to transform me.
In the deep recesses of my mind
Hopeful memories lie inA fragile wish of a child, Vagrant, like the fleeting summer breeze, but Everlasting and .
A wish, fabricated from the weavings of nature,
Darting strands of mystical air Roped in with touches of mossy earth, Endless skeins of crystal-clear water, All reminders of careless summer daysMankind could not destroy.
Infernos are started by one
Huff ofAir and a single spark, a Very tiny flame that Eventually grows.
A dream is like that:
Dim at first, a tiny lightRising in the night, Erupting into a sparkling blaze,A snapping, spitting, sizzlingMagical wildfire.
Interestingly, I keep a dream in my pocket.
Hot like fire it sizzles.Aggressively shakes against the denim walls, Violently tickles the tiny lint andEventually my little dream breaks loose.
“Ahh!” It sighs. “Now I have room to grow.”
Dancing and singing my little dream strives, Rumbling and rattling. He knows he can fly.Exhausted he rests in a chair and ponders.”“And what might my little dream be thinking?” I
say.“My life will not be wasted away, just watch, just watch one day!” --Summer Munden
Illuminating the infinite, dark universe are fireworks that
have been ignited by sparks.
Hopes that are heldAlive in the souls of those who dare toVenture up into the despairing mountains ofEternal winter
And rappel back down again, unbroken and still filled with
Determination to continueRiding the relentless stallion of time andEmancipating caged secrets before finallyAchieving the ultimate dream by shattering the bonds ofMortality to soar through the infinite, bright universe
beyond. --Amanda Wells
Icarus was a dreamer.
He strove to touch the sun, to be with the gods! And in the end it was his folly.Very few people strive to reach the sun, Evading heartache some say, while others’ wings are melted
from the start.
And yet I am ready to take that risk, so
Drink up my dream from the fountain of my hope and
celebrate our future,Rest knowing that you are guarded by my perseverance,Eat the knowledge I gather so that you will be stronger,And I’ll build wings of steel, welded by flames so that weMay finally embrace in that golden palace in the sky.
If I burst into flames before your startled eyes, don’t be
alarmed. It’s just my
Heart heaving heavenward,A sparklingValkyrie whisking dead dreams to the right hand of God,
hoping He will Eventually resuscitate, resurrect, revive these flattened
shades.A swan swoops and circles around me, ensnaring my soul’s
wings in gossamer hope.
Diving into lakes of Rainbow madness,Emerging with celestial secrets in its beak.“Alleluia!” it sings.“Mayhem has dissolved into the cracks of never!”
Insatiable desires burning a
Hole through the pit of my soul,Arousing puffs of smoke lingering, loitering in the back of
my mind.Venice, Italy. Everlasting hope, eternal dream
Asteroids burn, putting on a blazing show in the midnight
Daring me to take a chance, a leap of faithRusty sand sparkling on the shore, complimented by the
sun’s shiny raysEvening canvas painted in the sky: beautiful Venice sunset puts us to sleep.Awakened by cool, clashing waves he rises softly.“Marry me?” he asks soothingly, putting an end to my life’s hope in two
simple words. --Vanessa Becker
I could write Blah! Words on this plain, dull, simple sheet, BUT:
Having the choice to express myself is just so sweet.A giftVanishing into my own world far from Earthly beings filled with scrutiny, resentment, & unfurled fears of
A world of dreams & hope & life
Disco, swing, boogie under moonlight that kisses my roughed edged fingertips.Rolling over tall fields of green on vast creatures unknown to earthly beings.Explosions, antagonism, bureaucracy vanish into dust.A crystal heaven is reborn once all vile life actions are seen as unjust. My world. --Peyton McCormick
