Call811beforeyoudigpostholestolocateandidentify anyburiedutilities.Note • WhencuttingFortressFencing,itisveryimportantto completethefollowingatcutpoints: • Removeallmetalshavingsfromthecutarea. • Fileanysharpedgesleftbycutting.Thoroughlywipeand

removeanyfilings,grime,ordirt. • Apply two coats of Fortress zinc based touch-up paint to

thecutarea.Iftouchupisatrailends,allowpainttodry beforeconnectingbrackettopost.

• Besuretoremoveanymetalshavingsfromthesurfaceof Fence.

Torx Safety Tips • Alwaysusethelowestspeedsettingondrill. • Toreducechanceofbitbreakage,starttighteningwithdrill

onlowtorquesettingandworkupuntilscrewissecured. Tip:Pre-drillholeswith5/32”[4mm]drillbit.

Step 2: Use Stakes & String to Create Perimeter 1. Usingthefencelayoutsketchasaguide,locateacorneror referencepointalongeachfencerunandmarkit withastake. 2. Useastringstretchedbetweenstakeslocatedattheendof each fence run, and layout the perimeter of the fence project. 3. Layout fence so that minimal panel cuts are required; remembertoallowforgates. 4. Iflayouthas90°corners,confirmthatcornersform 90°angles. Note: • (2” [50mm] Post Max On Center Spacing is 92-3/8” [2346mm]).

• End Bracket (EX-104) - Thisbracketcanbeusedinall applicationsforVersaiFence.Thebracketmountsonthe

insidefaceofthepost.

• Swivel Bracket (EXS-104) -Thisbracketisdesignedtobe utilizedforangledpanelinstallation.Thebracketmounts

ontheinsidefaceofthepost.Maximumangleis30o.

• Line Bracket (EXW-204) -Utilizingthisbracketisoneofthe easiestwaysofinstallingtheVersaiFence.Oncethepostis

installedinconcreteandset,installanEXW-204Bracketon each end of a panel with the bracket centered in the post ofthebracket.LightlytightentheBracketBolt/Nuttohold

thepanelinplace.Completethisstepforeachoftherails onthepanel.Afterallpanelshavebeeninstalledusingthis

method,returntoyourstartingpoint.Usinga2”X4”X72” [50mmx101mmx1829mm]asalever,insertthe boardunderthebottomofthepicketclosesttothepost andgentlypryuponthepicket.Thiswilladjusttheheight ofthepaneltotheneededheight.Withthepryboard inplaceandthepanelheightset,tightentheBracket Bolt/Nut.Onceallpanelshavebeenleveledandfasteners tightened,usingthe10mmNutDriver,installthe Self-TappingScrewsintothedesignatedholesoneachside

ofthebracket. Note: DO NOTovertightentheBracketBolt/Nutorthe Self-TappingScrew.

• Corner Bracket (EXW-304) -Thisbracketwasdesignedto beusedforCornerPostInstallation.

Wheninstallingthisbracket,thebracketsmustbeslid overthetopofthepostpriortoinstallinganypanels,in

thedirectiontheywillbeinstalled.Thisisabracketthat hasafixedpositiononthepostandchangeofdirectionis notpossibleoncepanelinstallationbegins.Forinstallation

ofthisbracket,thesetuplaidoutfortheEXW-204Bracket canbeutilizedinthesamemannerbyattachedthepanel tothebracketinitially,theninstallingtheSelf-Tapping Screwattheendoftheprocess.Whenpositioningthe

bracketsonthepost,thebottombracket(ofeachpanel connection)shouldbeinstalledupsidedown.Thisensures thattherailslineupforthedirectionchange.

Step 1: MarkBracketHoleLocationsForEX-104&EXS-104 1. Markthecenterlineofeachpostwithapencil. 2. TakemeasurementsusedinFig.1-9to mark top, middle&bottombracketholelocationsontoposts. Tip: • Removeallmetalshavingsfrompostsbeforebracketsare

installedtoposttopreventruststains&preventcorrosion. Note: • Allpanelsshouldbeinstalledwiththebottomfaceofthe

bottomrailaminimumof2”[50mm]aboveground surface.

anequalamountbecutfromeachendofpanel.Bydoing so,thiswillalterthepicketspacingwhichcanaffect meetingthenationalpoolcode.

Tip: • Measure from the back wall of the bracket to the back wall
