Affordable Care Act 101

• Employers with over 100 FTEs (over 50 in 2016)• Provide coverage to at least 70% (95% in 2016)• Insurance must pay for 60% of covered costs• Employees must pay less than 9.56% of family income for the employer coverage• Employers must provide 1095-C to employees at year end• Employers must transmit 1094-C to IRS at year end• 1094-C must be filed electronically for employers with over 250 W-2s
