Summary & key messages
• The UK sector is becoming more competitive in a number of areas
• Important to look at year on year performance as well as the position against the benchmark e.g. One of the best arrival experiences in the Russell Group, but beware of some slips in satisfaction since last year
• Some excellent results in the learning section, especially around the physical learning environment and employability
• Some continuing concerns around integration of international students in the living and learning areas
• Newcastle’s support services are among the best in the UK – perhaps some concerns with faith provision and the GP services
