• Steps to create table of content using the default setting s.1. When creating the document, use the following paragraph styles for

different heading levels : Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3. 2. Place cursor where the table of contents needs to be inserted.3. Insert > Indexes and Tables > Indexes and Tables.4. Change nothing in the dialog box & click OK.

• If you add or delete text or you add, delete, or change headings, you need to update the table of contents.

• To update table of content :1. Place the cursor within the table of contents.2. Right-click > Update Index/Table from the pop-up menu.
