Jesus Christ, King of the Universe Today we celebrate the great triumph of Jesus Christ as King of the universe. I think that it is so important that we remember in our daily lives that Jesus Christ has won the victory of salvation in our lives by his death and resurrection. Certainly the evil one tries to confuse us and make us think that this is not true, but we all know better. Today we celebrate the truth of Jesus Christ as Lord of all. Isn’t it interesting that on the feast of Christ the King our gospel reading is about the condemnation of Jesus by Pontius Pilate? In the gospel for today, Jesus responds to Pilate just before his crucifixion by stating, “For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice” (John 18: 37). Our first reading from the Book of Daniel states, “His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not be taken away, his kingship shall not be destroyed” (Daniel 7:14). This is so very important for us to remember. Keep the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of the Universe at the center of your souls, the center of your families, and the center of your world!
Catholic Campaign for Human Development Today we have a second collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). It is an instrument of the Catholic Church working to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ, “to bring good news to the poor… release to the captives… sight to the blind, and let the oppressed go free” (Luke 4:18). It was established in 1970 by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and has a two-fold mandate: To help low-income people participate in decisions that affect their lives, their families and communities and to provide education and promote understanding about poverty and its root causes. peoples of this land have sung of your bounty; we too offer you praise for the rich harvest we have
received at your hands. Bless us and this food which we share with grateful
hearts. Continue to make our land fruitful and let our love for you be seen in our pursuit of
peace and justice and in our generous response to those in need. Praise and glory to you, Lord God, for

Jesucristo, Rey del Universo Hoy celebramos el triunfo de Jesucristo como Rey del universo. Creo que es importante que recordemos en nuestra vida diaria, la victoria que Jesucristo ha ganado es la salvación en nuestras vidas por su muerte y resurrección. Sin duda el mal nos trata de confundir y hacernos pensar que esto no es cierto, pero todos sabemos que sí. Hoy celebramos la verdad de Cristo Jesús como Señor de todos. ¿No es interesante, que en la fiesta de Cristo Rey, nuestra lectura del Evangelio es acerca de la condena de Jesús por Poncio Pilato? En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús responde a Pilatos justo antes de su crucifixión diciendo, «para esto nací y para esto vine al mundo, para dar testimonio de la verdad. Todo el que pertenece en la verdad escucha mi voz"(Juan 18:37). Nuestra primera lectura en del libro de Daniel indica, "Que su reinado es un dominio eterno que no será quitado, su reinado no será destruido" (Daniel 7:14). Esto es muy importante que nosotros lo recordemos. ¡Mantenga al Señor Jesucristo, Rey del Universo en el centro de nuestras almas, centro de nuestras familias y el centro de tu mundo!
Campaña Católica para Desarrollo Humano Hoy tenemos una segunda colecta para la Campaña Católica para el desarrollo humano (CCHD). Es un instrumento de la iglesia católica, que está trabajando para llevar a cabo la misión de Jesucristo, "traer buenas noticias a los pobres... liberar a los cautivos... vista a los ciegos y dejar al oprimido en libertad" (Lucas 4:18). Fue fundada en 1970 por la Conferencia de obispos católicos de Estados Unidos y tiene un mandato doble: Ayudar a personas de bajos ingresos que participen en la decisión que afectan sus vidas, sus familias, comunidades y proporcionándoles educación y promoviendo la comprensión sobre la pobreza y su raíz. November 28th starting at the 5:30 PM mass - Northwest
Assistance Ministry (NAM) toy bags will be at all the doors.
Each bag will contain a wish list from a child. NAM assists
about 2000 children for Christmas and children ages 8 to 12
have the least returned bags every year. Please consider taking
a bag and filling for a child in our area.
Also, starting at the 5:30 mass on November 28th we will have
approximately 200 families from Holy Name in need of a
Christmas food baskets. The names will be available in the
Narthex along with suggested food items. The baskets will be
loaded on the truck December 19 for delivery to Holy Name
on December 20th. Thank you in advance for your generosity .

Ministerio Social: el 28 de noviembre a partir de la Misa de 5:30pm tendremos las bolsas disponibles para juguetes que ayudan a Northwest Assistance Ministriy (NAM) estas bolsas estarán disponibles en todas las puertas. Cada bolsa contiene una lista de deseos de un niño. NAM ayuda a cerca de 2000 niños para la Navidad y los niños en las edades de 8-12 son los que menos regresan las bolsas cada año. Por favor considere una bolsa y a un niño en nuestra área. También, a partir de la Misa de 5:30pm del 28 de noviembre, tenemos unas 200 familias de la parroquia Holy Name para proporcionar canastas de comida en Navidad.
