Job Title: Assistant Franchise Store Manager Responsible to: Franchise Store Manager Responsible for: Soho team members within the leisure centre 1. JOB PURPOSE AND MAIN AIMS a) To assist the Franchise Store Manager with the day to day management of the on site café, bar and vending services. b) To assist in the provision of a quality service to the customer as well as to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the site. c) To take full responsibility of the daily management of café, bar and vending services in the absence of the Franchise Store Manager. d) Aid in assisting the Franchise Store Manager to drive profitability, by encouraging new custom, retaining customer loyalty and motivating the team to ensure all targets are obtained. 2. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES a) To manage all aspects of the café, bar and vending service in the absence of the Franchise Store Manager. c) To place orders and accept deliveries as required from nominated suppliers and ensure all paperwork is up to date as requested by the Franchise Store Manager. d) Compilation of staff rotas as required in conjunction with Franchise Store Manager. e) To aid the Franchise Store Manager in excellent scores for all operational audits within the business. f) To follow the Normal Operating Procedures and the Food Safety procedures as instructed. c) To undertake cleaning duties and to set up and dismantle equipment as required. d) To adhere to all checklists and cleaning schedules as laid down by management and ensure that they are completed each shift. e) Provide first class customer service and quality control both on shift and through training of supervisors and team members. f) To observe and adhere to all COSHH, HACCP, Food Safety and Health & Safety Legislation at all times. g) Recruitment and training of new Soho team members when authorised by the Franchise Store Manager. h) To ensure effective stock control procedures are adhered to and to assist in the external stock audit. i) To aid the Franchise Store Manager to achieve profitability to agreed targets. This will include but not be limited to: 1) Unit sales 2) Productivity ratio by man hour 3) Gross profit percentage 4) Wastage percentage 3. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE (SELECTION CRITERIA) Essential Criteria a) Qualified with a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent or have an equivalent level of relevant experience. b) Awareness of current Health and Safety legislation. c) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. d) Experience of working in a customer focused environment. e) Knowledge of business IT applications (e.g. Word/Excel). f) Excellent customer service skills and a keen eye for attention to detail. Desirable Criteria a) Good written communication skills. b) Knowledge of current law appertaining to the sale of alcohol. c) Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. d) A passion for the Food and Beverage industry with drive to develop and progress within the role. 4. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND/OR STRAIN a) Will be required to aid with the setting up of catering equipment which may involve some manual handling. b) May be required to take deliveries, which may involve some manual handling. 5. SPECIAL NOTES OR CONDITIONS a) The post holder will be required to work on a shift basis, working week days, evenings and weekends. b) The post holder will be required to wear a uniform at all times whilst on duty. c) The post holder may be required to provide cover for colleagues from time to time. d) The post holder will be required to undergo regular training.

1. JOB PURPOSE AND MAIN AIMS

a) To assist the Franchise Store Manager with the day to day management of the on site café, bar and vending services.

And any other duties commensurate with the grade and falling within the scope of the post, as requested by Management. Duties may change over time and you will be expected to co-operate where such changes are reasonable.
