Example - Chlorine1. I’ve identified that chlorine could be hazardous to someone’s

health

2. Chlorine level to be monitored by a computer for dangerous levels

3. Check computer levels every morning

4. Train all staff to know what they’re looking for

5. Measure the concentration of chlorine that may be dangerous

6. If dangerous levels of chlorine enter the pool, what will the effects be?

7. Display signs and have immediate response if chlorine levels become too high

8. Train staff eg emergency procedures

RIDDOR places a legal duty to report;

1 Work related deaths

2 Major injuries or over 3 day injuries

3 Work related diseases

4 Dangerous occurrences (near miss accidents)
