How to make a gift and (still) lower your taxes Changes to the tax code have some generous individuals looking for a way to support the Church while still maximizing their tax benefits. The standard deduction may have been increased, making it less likely that charitable gifts will be itemized, but there are still many ways to make a tax-advantaged gift to a parish, school, ministry or the Archdiocese. • Gifts from IRA accounts For donors 70½ or older, gifts of up to $100,000 can be made directly from an IRA account. These gifts not only count toward meeting minimum required distributions, they are not subject to income tax and can lower a donor’s total income. • Gifts of stock Gifts of appreciated stock are among the best ways to give since those gifts are not subject to capital gains tax, saving you up to 20% on your gift. • “Bunching” annual gifts If you would like to maintain your current annual charitable giving, but are concerned that you might not be able to itemize those gifts, consider “bunching” several years’ worth of annual gifts into a single year. You might be able to itemize in your year of giving and then take a standard deduction in the following years, resulting in tax savings. mejor su fe. Sobre el Programa: SYMBOLON: Conociendo la Fe, explica lo más importante de la fe Católica en una
forma en que enseña a nuestras mentes e inspira a nuestros corazones. El Programa SYMBOLON está divido en dos mitades de 10 sesiones cada una. El contenido es presentado por maestros competentes y confiables en la
enseñanza y transmisión de la fe a través de videos y preguntas a discutir entre los asistentes. Cuando son: Enero 6 al 10 y del 13 al 17

Intensive Sacramental Classes Who is this for? Adults 18 years of age and older who have not been baptized and/or need the Sacraments of First Communion and/or Confirmation. This program is also for any Catholic who wishes to learn more about their Faith. About the Program: SYMBOLON: The Catholic Faith Explained talks about important facts of the Catholic Faith
in a way that teaches our minds and inspires our hearts. The program is divided in 2 sections of 10 sessions each. When? January 6th thru the 10th & 13th thru the 17th
Time? We have two sessions to choose from: Morning Session from 10am-12pm OR Evening Session 7-9pm Cost? For those registering for our RCIA program: $250.00 ($125.00 due at time of registration)
For those registering as a participant: $25.00 (Includes book) IMPORTANT:
These 10 sessions when completed in its entirety, covers the first section of our RCIA program that the parish offers.
