    Virginia Sesquicentennial has PC agenda

e Virginia Sesquicentennial has been nothing more than a glorification of the Emancipation Proclamation , and has

le to do with the War between the States.

n September 22nd 1863, about a week after losing 12,401 troops in the Battle of Antietam, Lincoln issued a prelimi

oclamation to the Southern states which basically said that, unless they returned to the Union before January 1st, 18of their slaves would be declared free. Not shockingly, no Southern states responded to this threat.

herefore, on the pre-set date of January 1st, 1863, Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which actually fret one person.

The Confederate Flag and the United States Flag are judged by different standards and criteria, and are not hel

e same levels of accountability. In analytical science and weights and measures, comparisons are made against know

ndards. However, in politics comparisons are never made in a fair and impartial manner.

litical Correctness has been used to attempt bans of The Confederate Flag from schools, parades, public and private

operty, and even historical monuments and sites.

e Confederate flag represents Constitutional Limited Federal Government, States Rights, Resistance to Governmen

ranny, and Christian Values and Principles. To say that it represents racism and bigotry is a negative and shallow

erpretation comparable to saying the U.S. flag represents the genocide of the American Indians and abortion.

ypocrisy, ignorance, and bias have been directed against the Confederate Flag. Compare the U.S. Flag (Stars and Str

e genocide and racial cleansing of the American Indians took place under the U.S. Flag. Their land was taken witho

r and just compensation. Indians died by the thousands as they were forced on to reservations and subjected to starv

d deadly diseases. In the American West, cavalry troopers murdered entire villages including babies in their mother

    ms.

aves were imported from Africa to America primarily by five Northern States: New York, Massachusetts, Connecti

w Hampshire, and Rhode Island. New York City had the second highest slave population in America. The Confede

ag was not involved in the importation of slaves.. Let's try to use the Sesquicentennial to educate the populous with

tory and a fully accurate version of history. Are you mad enough yet? Become more active and

    eserve our Heritage!!!!

aggers have consistently been on the ground at the VMFA, braving the weather and the wVMFA Security, who apparently are very agitated to have to come outside and keep an ey

enty years after Gen. Robert E. Lee rode into Appomattox and surrendered his tattered army, ending the War Between the States, a memor

pel was built in Richmond in memory of the 260,000 Confederate soldiers who died during the conflict.. The Pelham Chapel Confederamorial is designated a National Historic Landmark by the U.S., and has been granted the status of Confederate Monument by the

    mmonwealth of Virginia.

e organ in the chapel was donated by a group of Union veterans from Lynn, Mass. One of the contributors to the soldiers' home that surrou

chapel was Gen. Ulysses S. Grant. And a Union private from Massachusetts donated his annual pension to support the home.

air of Confederate flags had flown over the Confederate Memorial Chapel in Richmond since 1887. Those two flags did not trouble the U

diers who donated the organ to the chapel; nor did they trouble Ulysses S. Grant. They were placed there by Confederate Veterans, to

morialize the Confederate dead, and honor the living.

t forward 150 yearson the eve of the Sesquicentennial Commemoration of the War Between the States, June 1st, 2010, these two Confe

tle Flags were forcibly removed from the Memorial by a restriction in the lease renewal, at the insistence of the Virginia Museum of Fine A

s is in direct violation of Virginia law, which clearly states: it shall be unlawful for the authorities of the locality, or any other person or

sons, to disturb or interfere with any monuments or memorials so erected, or to prevent its citizens from taking proper measures and exerc

per means for the protection, preservation and care of same. For purposes of this section, "disturb or interfere with" inc ludes removal of,

maging or defacing monuments or memorials, or, in the case of the War Between the States, the placement of Union markings or monume

viously designated Confederate memorials or the placement of Confederate markings or monuments on previously designated Union

    morials. ( 15.2-1812)

citizens of Virginia and descendants of Confederate soldiers who gallantly answered Virginias call to defend her, we dema nd that the VM

move these blatantly prejudicial restrictions and allow the Confederate Battle Flags to once again fly on the Confederate War Memor

o, Graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 1967 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Received

egular Commission in the US Army Engineers. Served as a Company Commander in Vietnam. Upoturn to civilian life, worked as a commercial diver, trawler captain, and - for twenty-nine years - as

gboat captain. Graduated from the University of Richmond with a Master of Liberal Arts degree in

Middle of the nineteenth century steam power replacedmuscle power as the prime mover of civilization, and the

Industrial Revolution roared across the world. A new World-

Cycle, the Machine Age, was born. But in the Southern United

States men took up arms against the imperatives of the

machine, and their Lost Cause marked the end of the Age of

Agriculture. By the editing of contemporary diaries, letters,

essays, newspaper editorials, memoirs, histories and official

records, and the collation of them into a narrative form, this

work attempts to paint a contemporaneous portrait of thestorm-tossed Confederacy and the revolution that swept it

away. The narrative is written in the spirit of a bard singing

the Confederate Epic. As such, it offers a challenge to some

long-cherished American myths, and - to a de jure federated

Republic that is in the late stages of transformation into a de

    facto centralized Democracy
