Working with practitioners and experts across industries, ELITC Academy, along with current capabilities, will take on consultancy and project management initiatives in areas such as Human Resources Development, Digital Transformation as well as LEAN, and be the face for all future internationalisation opportunities. - With the countless updates and news on security breaches, malwares attacks and hackers, it is becoming extremely important for people and organisations to be educated and aware of the threats, consequences and how it will impact them. According to CNBC, they estimated these breaches has cost those affected a whopping US$600 million to date. Each and every organisation should beef up on their Network security by educating their people. “Network security is the process of taking physical and soſtware preventative measures to protect the underlying networking infrastructure from unauthorized access, misuse, malfunction, modification, destruction, or improper disclosure, thereby creating a secure platform for computers, users and programs to perform their permitted critical functions within a secure environment,” according to SANS Institute, an information security training expert. As soon as the clock struck half past six in the evening, everyone eagerly made a beeline towards the enticing spread that beckoned to us. “Oooh… ere’s even Black Pepper Crab!”, squealed an intern, with delight. It was unanimously agreed that the buffet spread was unexpectedly good. We mingled around and was chatting up con- versations all through the course of dinner. Coupled with an exceptional spread of cuisines, needless to say, everyone had enjoyed themselves tremendously. - Keeping the Competitive Edge ... With the all the new technological advancements, companies are vying to stay competitive and dependable within their industry. Apart from showcasing and ensuring that their products stand out from the competitors, companies are taking steps to upgrade their staff skills at the same time. E-Mesh (S) Pte Ltd, is an example of one such company that believes in upgrading its staff to be competitive in their playing field. Mr Andy Chong, Managing Director of E-Mesh (S) Pte Ltd, together with more than twenty members of his operational staff, attended a one-day “Follow Good Cleanroom Practices” course on Tuesday, 22 October 2019. When asked why he decided to attend this course, he mentioned that he would like to upgrade his staff skills and to have employees equipped with the relevant certification will bring more credibility and allows the company to be more competitive in the industry locally as well as in its overseas operations. He also highlighted that this course is relevant and in-line with the industry’s requirements. His company, being specifically in the bio-medical industry, needs to be well certified with certifications such as this. Mr Chong commended ELITC for customising this course for him and his staff, as he mentioned, apart from being flexible with the duration and timings, ELITC provides quality training that is easily understood by himself as well as his staff.
