CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY to Peggy & Steve Lynch & Family, upon the death of Peggy’s mother, Helen Baucom, on Monday, June 5, 2017.

As previously communicated, we will begin to plan various areas of service to form a faith based partnership with G.W.Carver. Our first goal is to have a uniform drive to assist them in building a uniform closet for students in need. There is a need for sizes ranging from 5-16. Socks and underwear are also items that we will collect. The guidelines for uniforms are as follows: • For grades K-6, students may wear collared shirts that are ANY solid color. • For all schools: Shirts and blouses may bear a thumb size or smaller brand logo; school logo shirts

may be worn, or shirts with the Kannapolis “K” may be worn. • Pants and shorts should be navy, khaki, or black.

Cargo shorts are allowed. Skirts and jumpers may also be worn, but need to be navy, khaki, or black. (NO denim material)

There are 3 ways you can help at this time: 1.) Pray! Carver Elementary will open its doors August 2017 to Kindergarten through Fifth grades. Pray for their administration, teachers, and students. 2.) Purchase uniforms and place them in the containers in the designated space in the Commons area. 3.) By making a monetary donation to the designated fund for our Faith Based Partnership. Please note Carver Uniforms on the memo line. Currently, Lee’s Clothing Warehouse has great prices on uniforms, and should until July 4th weekend. Mention this is for a clothing drive sponsored by Kimball Church and they may give you a discount on some of the items you purchase! Found a play that we could go to in October in Salisbury, it is not a dinner theater, but it is close and it called In God’s Own Country. It is a theater project celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation

and is being presented at the Meroney Theater. October 12-15 or 18-21st.
