Today is the National Day of Action against Bullying.

At KHS we have been working on defining what bullying is and the many forms it takes eg physical violence, verbal abuse, sexual harassment and

assault. We have devoted time during Mind Matters and our assembly to talk about how we can improve the incidence of bullying in our school. Our peer mediators have produced a video to show our students who they are and how they can help. The link will be uploaded to our school Facebook page.

Members of our senior leadership group handed out random acts of kindness tickets today with suggestions of how we can be kind to one another. Many of our students have also been given Bullying No Way wrist bands.

Fundraising for CanAssist

Today the senior leadership group held a cake stall to raise money for Can Assist. Thank you to everyone who made cakes, slices and biscuits - we raised $300!

World’s Greatest ShaveDuring the lunch break today, one of our students had her hair shaved as part of the World’s Greatest Shave in support of her 5 year old cousin who is now in remission. Tomorrow, year 7 student, Macey Witt will be outside of Blooms the Chemist in the Wagga MarketPlace at 11:30am to have her locks chopped to donate to the cause in memory of a close friend who lost her battle.
