s p e c i f i c a t i o n s

The C-Frame system offers the ultimate in flexibility and strength. The units can be either mobile or under-slung on 60mm x 40mm heavy gauge epoxy coated mild steel horizontal rails. Hanging brackets allow units to be easily re-arranged or dismantled and also facilitate lateral movement of the units.

All suspended units are well clear of the floor allowing easy access for cleaning and regular mopping or mechanical cleaning. This in turn makes this system ideal for microbiological and pharmaceutical laboratories where cleanliness is of great importance.

The fixed format of furniture available from Lab UK (Furniture) Ltd. has proved most popular for dedicated laboratory areas, particularly in severe applications.

Together with inherent strength and the stability of fixed benchtops which are supported by storage cabinets, this provides the ideal platform for weighty equipment - in addition to immovable worksurfaces for delicate and critical analysis.

Maximum storage and working areas are achieved by the arrangement of standard width cabinets with tailored units and strategically located knee hole spaces for working desks. Furthermore, benchtop and cabinet depths are variable whether in the Perimeter, Island or Peninsula layout.

Service lines are catered for in the voids behind the storage cabinet, protected but easily accessible via removable back panels. Alternatively, service spines and trunking in a variety of designs afford adequate access to worksurfaces as well as an isolation of potential hazards.

Flexibility in planning and use of benching is the key to this elegant, durable style of furniture from Lab UK (Furniture) Ltd. Extremely strong supporting steelwork, 40mm x 40mm in sections, is available in colours to compliment your scheme.

The vertical support leg is set sufficiently far back to be unobtrusive, yet balanced in position to give full support to all equipment. Levelling feet are a standard fitment.

The underbench span-rails are sited to allow installation of a wide range of sinks and drip-cups without compromising the weight-bearing capacity of the system.

Working distances such as the t ravel l ing d istance from the cooker to the s ink, and

storage distr ibut ion, are pivotal in our planning. This helps to provide a

safe operat ing environment in the k i tchen.

School science laborator ies are designed with the needs of the curr iculum, teaching sty le of the school and with heal th and safety in mind. Each laboratory, or sui te of laborator ies and preparat ion areas, are designed to faci l i tate indiv idual teaching sty les.

We at Lab UK (Furni ture) Ltd. provide a fu l ly co-ordinated design solut ion for a l l teaching sty les. Tradi t ional f ixed is land benches, f lexible tables and service pedestals, or octagon l inked is lands are amongst the choices avai lable.

construct ion using a wide range of mater ia ls including wood, metal , p last ics and text i les.

Areas are designed to accommodate both pract ical and wri t ten work, taking into considerat ion that

pupi ls need space to design, make and evaluate their projects.

Departments are planned with complete understanding that the relat ionships between each

discipl ine and storage needs are fu l ly sat isf ied.

Text i les or fabr ic rooms are used for a var iety of design and construct ion act iv i t ies. Pupi ls are engaged in designing and manufactur ing using sewing and kni t t ing machines.

Art and design is both a pract ical and creat ive subject in which students can learn through invest igat ion, observat ion and exper imentat ion.

Art rooms are designed to provide usable and f lexible spaces which can accommodate a var iety of act iv i t ies wi thout di ff icul ty. Art rooms are equipped to faci l i tate whole c lass, group and indiv idual act iv i ty.

These uni ts are post formed with a down stand and integral up stand (which is opt ional) using HPL at tached onto a moisture resistant core board.

Compact Grade Cubicles

The cubic les are manufactured from 13mm sol id grade laminate, wi th al l edges prof i led and pol ished.

Budget Cubic les

Our budget cubic les are manufactured from moisture resistant MFC complete wi th a 2mm PVC edge treatment.

The cubic les are produced to a very high standard using al l leading brands of laminates including Formica and Polyrey, we also offer a wide range of sty l ish and robust cubic le f i t t ings to sui t .

IPS/Urinal Systems

Our systems come in post formed, PVC, or laminate edged opt ions, as wel l as HPL (High Pressure Laminate) onto a moisture resistant core. Avai lable in MFC (Melamine Faced Chipboard), or sol id grade laminate, the systems can also be suppl ied factory f ixed to a sub frame.
