LAKEMONT CLEAN-UP DAY
Please join in keeping our community clean and safe by assisting in collecting trash and debris and reporting any areas of concern that you may notice On Saturday September 17th as you head out for your morning or evening walks take along a trash bag gloves and maybe a rake This way you can still volunteer but do it on your own schedule We will continue to schedule ldquoLakemont Clean-Up Daysrsquorsquo so everyone can participate Thanks for your time and efforts as we strive to keep Lakemont clean and beautiful
STORY TIME IN THE PARK
Bring your little ones and enjoy a story and picnic at the park with other kids in the community Story will be told by Rebecca Anderson one our homeowners Join us Saturday morning at 830am on September 3rd at the Lakehouse Bring a towel or blanket to sit on and your childrsquos breakfastsnack and drink Kids from toddlers to kindergarten welcome

We have tentatively scheduled Pictures with Santa on Saturday December 4th from 1-4pm We are looking for a volunteer and a backup to dress up as Santa on that day to take pictures with the kids and families of Lakemont We will provide the Santa suit and all accessories Please send an email to Jennifer at jenpliyahoocom if you are interested

We are asking for your help As some of you may have noticed Fort Bend County Road and Bridge Department recently removed (2) stop signs at the intersection of Lakemont Bend Lane and Bright Summer Lane by the recreation center It has been suggested by the county to have all community members write andor call the county commissioner and road and bridge department to request that the signs be replaced This intersection is very dangerous for pedestrians crossing to get to the pool and park facilities due to vehicles traveling at high speeds up and down Lakemont Bend Lane We will all need to work together to keep Lakemont a safe community for all members and prevent any accidents from occurring Please send your request to the following address below

PreparationCombine first 3 ingredients in a Dutch oven Add beef bring to
a boil Cover reduce heat and simmer 3 hours or until very tender turning beef occasionally Remove beef from pan Reserve 2 cups cooking liquid discard remaining cooking liquid Shred beef with 2 forks Return shredded beef to pan Add reserved cooking liquid barbecue sauce and cranberry sauce stir well Cook over medium-low heat 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated Serve beef mixture on buns Yield 16 servings (serving size 1 bun and about 13 cup beef mixture)

ingredients Arrange evenly on a jelly-roll pan coated with cooking spray Bake at 450deg for 30 minutes or until tender Let cool Combine potatoes onions parsley and bacon To prepare vinaigrette combine vinegar and remaining ingredients in a jar Cover tightly shake vigorously Add vinaigrette to potato mixture toss well Serve immediately Note Store the vinaigrette separately and toss with the potato mixture right before serving Donrsquot have a jar for the dressing Whisk the ingredients in a small bowl and then transfer to a sturdy zip-top plastic bag to take to the game Yield 8 servings (serving size 1 cup)

We are asking for your help As some of you may have noticed Fort Bend County Road and Bridge Department recently removed (2) stop signs at the intersection of Lakemont Bend Lane and Bright Summer Lane by the recreation center It has been suggested by the county to have all community members write andor call the county commissioner and road and bridge department to request that the signs be replaced This intersection is very dangerous for pedestrians crossing to get to the pool and park facilities due to vehicles traveling at high speeds up and down Lakemont Bend Lane We will all need to work together to keep Lakemont a safe community for all members and prevent any accidents from occurring Please send your request to the following address below
