Learn the skills required towork in the landscape trade
Landscaping is a general trade encompassing many specialty trades in one, and the demand for qualified workers is great in all sectors. The various competencies include building wooden structures, irrigation and lighting, maintenance of tools and equipment, stone and concrete work, plant identification and maintenance, pond construction and more. Practical skills with lots of hands-on work as well as technical knowledge are combined to prepare you to enter the workforce.
A diploma could lead to varied careers:
• general landscape
• specialized sectors such as:
– lighting
– irrigation
– stone, paver and brick work
– exterior wood construction
– horticulture, plant and garden specialist
