Philips Achieva 3.0T X-series delivers a breakthrough in high-field imaging,

combining extreme clinical reach, simplicity in operation and all the advantages

of 3.0T field strength.

New X-series magnet

Its brand new X-series magnet boasts a full-size

50 cm FOV and a short, patient-friendly gantry

that measures only 157 cm end to end -- It’s

the only one that does. The magnet’s weight is

so low that the system is even available in a

mobile version.

New X-series gradient system

The exclusive X-series Quasar and Quasar

Dual gradient systems offer industry-leading

performance with excellent linearity

commensurate with a large 50 cm FOV.

The Quasar Dual gradient system enables

two performance levels with gradient

amplitudes up to 80 mT/m or slew rates

up to 200 mT/m/ms.

New X-series Integrated Body Coil

The advanced design of the new X-series

integrated RF body coil delivers high SNR,

low SAR, minimal dielectric effects and

excellent RF uniformity. This unique

combination enables excellent body imaging

as well as ultra-fast scanning without SAR

limitations. Furthermore, peripheral MRA

and total body multi-station exams can be

performed without sacrificing patient comfort.

FreeWave

At the heart of the Achieva MR system is the

FreeWave data acquisition system. With a

modular 32-channel architecture, FreeWave is

designed to handle the large data streams of

ultra-high resolution imaging (with matrices

up to 2k x 2k) and to combine a variety of

acceleration methods for ultra-fast imaging,

such as 4D-TRAK and k-t BLAST. This advanced

engine provides the power with which Achieva

3.0T X-series handles any task with ease.

FreeWave also supports use of large variety of

anatomy specific multi-channel SENSE RF coils,

both current and future. The new 33-element

SENSE Head/Spine coil is a good example, as

are a large number of other 3.0T coils

permitting SENSE speedup factors up to 16.

Achieva 3.0T X-series is a truly complete MR system: from the routine head,

spine and musculoskeletal to the most advanced exams, it performs them quickly

and efficiently with outstanding image quality. Many of them in less than a minute

or with a resolution previously only dreamt of.
