Hadith of Enlightment

The Occasions of the season:

-Month of Rajab13-Rajab: The birth of the commander of the faithfuls (P)27-Rajab: The blessed prophetic delegation.-Month of Shaaban:3-Shaanam: The birth of Imam Hussein(P.)4-Shaaban: The birth of Abi Al-Fadel Al-Aabas.5-Shaaban: The birth of Imam Al-Sajjad(P.)15-Shaaban:The birth of Imam Mahdi(P.)-The Month of Ramadan15-Ramadan: The birth of Imam Hssan(P.)21-Ramadan: The martyrdom of the commander of faithfuls.23-Ramadan:The greatest night of Glory ”Laylat Al Qader”The last Friday of Ramadan:The global day of AL-Quds.

The Muslims in Madina comprised of the Ansár (original residents of Madina) and the Muhájirín (migrants from Makka). Once, the Ansár argued that they were superior to the Muhájirín. The Holy Prophet (S) heard their words and addressed them with disapproval of their pride. He reminded them that his presence amongst them was a great blessing for them. The Ansár were ashamed at their conduct, and said, ”O Prophet of Alláh, if you command us we will give you everything we own (in repayment).” At this time the following Áyah was revealed:Say (O Muhammad), ”I do not ask any recompense for it (my work as a messenger), except the love of my near relatives (Ahlul Bayt).”And whosoever earns good, We (Alláh) increase for him good therein.Verily, Alláh is Most Forgiving, Most Grateful. Once upon a time a king ordered his soldiers to bring any person from outside to eat with him, so they brought a good man. The king said: I invite you to my table.

The man said: I’m invited to a table which is better than yours, I’m fast.

The king asked him: Do you fast and it’s too hot? He answered: I fast for a day which is hotter than this, for the judgment day.

The king said: Fast tomorrowThe man said: Will you ensure that I will live till tomorrow?

First, The Fast Breaking: and it is desirable to delay it till after evening praying, unless if he is beaten by weakness or if some people are waiting for him.

Second: to Fast break on the legitmate food, free of suspicion,

especially date, then his praying reward will be multiplied four hundreds, and it’s recommended to breakfast with warm water.

Third, to pray on the fastbreak by saying the archedogical praying:

“In the name of Allah, God for your sake we fast, and on your sustenance we breakfast, so accept from us, you’re surely the listener and the full knowledgeable.”Fourth, to intone Surraht Al-Quader at the time of fastbreak.

Fifth: to pay alm at the fastbreak, and to feed fastbreak to the fasters,

even by a number of dates or a drink of water. The messenger of Allah said:” Any one feed fastbreak to any faster, he will get his reward without any decrease.” Sixth, to pray Allah with the inherited prayings from the messenger of Allah and his Ahlo Al Beit(P.).

Seventh: it is recommended to take a shower(Ghosol)in the odd nights of this holy month.

Decencies in dealing with Quraan

What’s recommended to be done in the Month of RamadanAStory and a moral

A Break with a Verse: “Ramadan is the month when Quraan was

descended.” In this and other verses, God joins Ramadan with the Holy Quraan, since in these virtuous days the miracle of God’s messenger (P.) descended to herald people with it’s verses and to guide them to the way of merits, That’s why the messengers companions take care a lot of the month of Ramadan, intone its verses, learn its rules, understand it, even the messenger

of Allah (P.) said:

“For everything there is a spring, and the spring of Quraan is the month of Ramadan.”

Thus, we should intensely work to get the most advantage of this blessed month, when the merits

are multiplied, as the honorable messenger(P.)

declared: “If one reads a verse of Quraan in this month, he will be rewarded as if he

has read all the Quraan in other month

Once a man said to Imam Al-Hassan(P.): ”If someone does charity for those who do not deserve it, it will be lose lessImam Al-Hassan(P.) said: ”Surely, it’s not like this, favor is like downpour, it reaches the devoted and the filthy.” If you follow the verses of Quraan, then you’ll find that at anytime God mentions faith he accompanies it with the mention of work, especially with the good ones. This is what Islam wants his sons to grow up on, on the faith that is not imprisoned in the hearts, but which springs to be done by organs, and determined by souls. Thus, the believers characterized by doing good, and he’s actually good, something which makes all his vision, tendency, what he hopes to be and aim, as good. This is the believer that narrations talked about his properties, since the messenger of God

says: ”The head of religion after thinking is showing affectation to people and doing charity to people, devoted or filthy ones.” Here we see that charity is limitless, it is as the sun that shines on all over the earth, as the rain that waters all the soils, and as the divine mercy that comprises all the people. And in another narration he says: ”Make charity to those who deserve or those who don’t, if it doesn’t reach who deserve it, then you do deserveit.” In fact, man does not only maintain or preserve in his earthly life and his after- life his good works of charity, so if one wants to increase his account that does not finish, he has to rash in doing Charity. Imam Ali(P.) says: ”Heaven has a door called favor, no one enters it unless he had made kindness in his earthly life” and this is called the great triumph.

Allah mentions in his book the prophet’s saying: ”And the messenger said O God, my people have deserted this Quraan.” This complain still persists till our day, because still a great troop of muslims deserted Quraan, and buried Quraan between the folds of forgetting, although this Quraan is the sign of life and means of safety. Quraan is the reason of victory, of motives, of elevation, and is full of programs for life. The Hadith says: ”Three do complain to the Holy Allah, one of them is the deserted Quraan.” We can be of those who didn’t desert Quraan through maintaining decencies in dealing with Quraan and they are: First, Reading Quraan & Listening to it’s Reading, Where the muslim’s vision is attached to it’s letters and it’s shining words as an entrance for the heavenly morals to enter his heart & mind. The reading of Quraan has it’s traces, beautiful ones in earthly life and other magnificent ones in the after life. The messenger of Allah said:

”Oh, Salman. You’ve to read Quraan, since it’s reading is a penance for sins, a veil from fire, and a secure from punishment”. If muslim couldn’t read Quraan, he must not avoid listening to it’s holy verses, since the messenger of Ahhal says:”If you miss Allah, listen to Allah’s words.” Second, Practice it’s Contents: The decencies of Quraan aren’t completely done according to what someone reads, understand, and ponder on, without practicing, so he applies it’s instructions, and avoids it’s prohibitions. In Imam Ali’s(P.) testament he says: Allah, Allah by Quraan, no one precedes you in applying it. Third: Understanding it’s meaning and to ponder on it verses. If we do not want our reading to be

just a repetition of words, but to combine between reading

and understanding the Quraan will be effective, an instructor, and a leader.

Imam Al Sadeq(P.) explains this verse:”They intone verses” by saying: They intone it and

understand it’s meanings.
