Plate Rack locks have changed!

The locks to the plate racks on the upper rifle range have been changed for

the new year. What is new this year, is that 1 key, will open both plate

racks. Cost is still $50 for the year. So you’ll get use of both plate racks

this year for $50. That’s $4.17 per month to use them as much as you

want. See Dave Kistler on Sunday mornings or contact him at

[email protected] to get your key. Locks will change again on Octo-

ber 31, 2017. Members who don’t want to purchase a key can still use

them on Sunday mornings for $5.00. Pay the on duty RSO to unlock them.

Non-members may use them on Sunday mornings for $10.00.

Clubhouse Gun Shop

We are very happy that so many of you are visiting the Gun Shop section of the club web-

site. It shows everything we have for sale. While the website is great nothing beats being

here in person.

If you want something we don’t have in stock well see if it is available and quote you a

price and deliver time. Also keep in mind we have a very friendly Lay Away plan.

2017 Remington Wildlife Calendars have arrived. They are for sale in the gun shop for just

5.00.

Deer Hunters, we just took in a big shipment of Remington 12 Gauge slugs. We also carry

16 Gauge slugs and 20 gauge slugs.

Winter Rifle Matches

Winter Rifle Matches!

The Winter Rifle matches are over for now - We had a very good turnout all season long & some very

close competition in each category! Talk about "Celebrating Diversity!" we had all sorts of rifles & rifle-

men, from Flintlock to AR; 22 Long Rifle to 45-70 Buffalo Gun; Springfields, Enfields, Moisins & Gar-

ands!

Here are the March results: Keith Host came in 1st place by 1 point in the Expert Class, with a 179-1X

average! Brad B came in 1st in the Sharpshooter Class by 3 points, with a 168 average! PJ came in 1st

in the Marksman Class by an X-count, with a 146-1X average!

There is no better way to improve your rifleman skills during the off-season than some friendly competi-

tion in offhand matches, shooting unsupported, standing up at 100 yards. Shooters start off with the

personal goal of getting all 20 shots on the paper, then all in the rings, then all in the black, then all in

the X-ring! Congratulations to all the fine Riflemen that competed this season! We'll start up again next

December.

Rattle Battle match!

Congratulations to our Winter Riflemen Team of Dick & Nick Spring, Brad Brousseau, & Tony for coming

in 1st Place with a score of 269 in our Patriots Day/ WW-1 Rattle Battle Match using modern rifles. The

Historical Riflemen Team of Steve Brousseau, Don Pisinski, Keith Host & Dave Fancy came in 2nd with

a score of 144 - not bad for vintage rifles over 100 years old! Dick Spring came in 1st in the Pistol

Plates too, followed by Jeff. Thanks to all the fine American Riflemen & Pistoleros who competed, we

were able to send a nice donation to GOAL to help in the Fight for our Second Amendment Freedoms in

Boston. We'll be back at it for our D-Day match on June 4th - save the date- with a 10 point bonus for

WW-II era rifles.

Sighting in your AR? - these target will help you save ammo & frustration. Use them to sight in Center-

mass hold at 25meters/yards & you should be pretty good for a 300m center mass hold, & a 6-o'clock

hold on the 100-yard bullseye

A4/shorty: http://www.bobdbob.com/~deneb/doc/targets/m4-carbine-zero.pdf

Attention Westminster LSA members!! we need you to help out our little-brother club (Westminster Rod

& Gun) with zoning shenanigans - save the date for this meeting - please attend if you're free:

"Zoning board appeal meeting is scheduled for Thursday April 20 7pm at the Westminster elementary

school. We are looking for members that live in our town to attend. We are getting jerked around by the

town and a few employees of town hall. We have already been shut down twice, but have proven them

wrong on both occasions and been re-opened! We would like a large turn out"
