Fill in information about your webpage or website, then click “Submit”

• Name of the overall website

• Publisher or sponsor

• Date you accessed the webpage/website

• Original publication date

• URL (to help you find the resource again)

• Author or editor

• Title of the specific webpage you viewed

Look carefully at the site, and include as much information as you can find. See “Helpful Tips” on the next slide. Remember to evaluate your source BEFORE creating the citation.

3 Helpful Tips:

Click on “MLA Guide” in the upper right, and a formatting guide for a website pops up.

Your website already has a citation prepared? Copy and paste it into Noodletools here. Note: You should make sure it meets MLA citation format by checking that all elements are included and punctuation is correct.

If you are unsure what goes into a box, click inside the box and a help guide will pop up, like this one.

Here’s a sample citation. When you take notes, you will link your notes to your citations.

Note: The URL is helpful while you are researching, so that you can go back to the source easily. However, it is not included on the final bibliography/works cited document. You can delete it here using the “edit” button on the right side, or you can delete it later from your Word document.
