President’s Message
The Mountain Travel Symposium that I attended April,13-19 in Breckenridge, CO with ski industry representatives, was again a full agenda of meetings and tours. I joined 121 other ski club representative from across the nation for this great opportunity to obtain information from tour companies , ski areas and other suppliers from North America & the world. Not only do these meetings help us find great ski trips like Telluride but wonderful relationships are also formed with other ski clubs from coast to coast. Results of the board of directors election is: new board member Mary Jane Weindorf joining four re-turning members Cheryl Nesuda, Roger Nesuda, Patti Lucarz and Mike Vanbokhoven. Thank you all. The Spring Cookout held Sunday April 27th at Jolly Roger’s Marina was a success despite bad weather. Please remember those who were affected by the tornado. Photos on page 4. The next activity is the Buffalo Float Trip , May 16 & 17th. Check with Linda Frisbee to see if space is Still available on the trip. See signup information on page 5. The annual lake Cruise on Larry’s houseboat is set for Saturday June 7. See page 6 for more info. As always, guests are welcome - bring someone ! Please continue to tell the bartender that you are with the Ski Club each time you order anything. I’ll see you on the 13th for the last meeting until August. Mike Graves, President

Bring cash for excellent food at the Low Gap Café on Friday evening. Sunday breakfast is on
your own; traditionally we eat at the Cliff House, famous for observing dozens of hummingbirds.
We are trying something new this year after considering suggestions to make
sleeping arrangements more versatile. For cabin rooms that are private, the total cost
for the weekend will be $170. per person based on double occupancy. ( so you and
your roommate must both pay together at sign up. This only applies for
the private cabin rooms ) . For the open lofts, sunroom, or living room areas, the
Cost for the weekend will be $140. per person. Your check holds your space and
there are a limited amount of private cabin rooms. Be aware there are no refunds
or cancellations, only substitutions will be allowed. Cost is less if you do not float,
but still want to join us for this fun trip ! Last day to pay is April 8th, 2014.
See Linda Frisbee at the May meeting
with your checkbook. We had an absolutely fabulously Fun, Fun, Fun Float Trip in May 2013 !!!
