President’s Message

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a blessed and Happy New Year ! We had an exceptional December meeting with some folks who attended for the first time and some who returned after a long-term hia-tus. I hope we were able to make them feel welcome and will be seeing them again! Our Steamboat Springs trip is just a month away...are you working out and ready in preparation of this trip? We have two Super Bowl parties in the works; one in Steamboat and the other in Little Rock. I’m sure both will be awesome events to attend! January may come in with a cold spell, but the laughs and good times will be warm hearted when we meet for the “Fertle Holiday” at the Joint in North Little Rock on January 10th. Just a re-minder that we have many other fun events coming up from our Day At The Races in Hot Springs, to our Banff, Canada Ski Trip, so check out the rest of the newsletter for more details. You must be a member of the Little Rock Ski Club to participate in some activities including any overnight trips. We do not operate on a calendar year.

saturday january 10, 2015 January is often drab and a comedy will pick us back up ! The family friendly performance of “The Fertile Holiday” Is playing. It is set in “Dumpster, Arkansas” with the Fertile family and their holiday troubles. Doors open at 7:00pm with open seating and social time and the play begins promptly at 8:00pm. Wine, beer, coffees, soft drinks, sandwiches & snacks are available for purchase. (Some people are planning on dinner at Creegan’s Irish Pub on Main prior to the 7:00pm social time and some are just wanting a snack at The Joint). Steve Farrell is the head writer, composer and artistic director. His writing has been featured on MTV, Saturday Night Live, Off Broadway, The Today Show, NBC’s Nightly News and Others. Steve’s comedy was featured syndicated nationally By Dick Clark’s United Stations Radio Network for ten years.
