Dear Ms. Dog Show Manners:

I was at ringside today when I observed a most annoying situation -- I am hoping you have some advice about how to handle such things.

Miss Bossy Boots was barking at some people to leave an entire set of chairs (maybe 4 or 5 chairs) because they were reserved -- and then proceeded to not occupy those chairs for at least the next two hours!!! What the heck?!

Oh Dear.

Perhaps Miss Bossy Boots has imaginary friends who were occupying the chairs, and she was worried that the people (the real ones as opposed to imaginary one) were sitting on her imaginary friends -- hence her agitation.

Although perhaps far-fetched, this is the only explanation that Ms. Dog Show Manners can generate that allows us to assume good intentions of Miss Bossy Boots.

Certainly Miss Bossy Boots would not be claiming that her desire to sit with her friends in a certain location at some point in the future is more important than your immediate need for a seat?! Perish the thought!

Ms. Dog Show Manners has confirmed with the Show Chair that there is no option to reserve seats for real or imaginary people. The only way to reserve a seat at this show is with your bottom. In other words, if you are sitting in it, the chair is yours -- congratulations!

If Miss Bossy Boots or one of her close associates informs you that a certain chair is reserved, you may simply remind that unfortunate and ill-informed person that there are no reserved seats at this show. I have no doubt that said person will promptly thank you -- after apologizing profusely -- for helping them not look like an oaf.
