Min, my oldest cat, separates the A papers from other papers. Shy and reclusive, Min sets the seal of approval on any paper. If she comes out and rolls on a paper, or butts the iPad while I am grading, that is a sure sign of paper quality!

Molly Teacup is my Sound Control Engineer. She's very friendly and vocal, and often contributes her own commentary to podcasts and screencasts. She also inspects every paper—electronic or traditional—and gives me that all-important second opinion.

Justin Wigglebutt Justin Wigglebutt is one

of my two Security Officers, but his primary role is Stress Relief Management. Justin monitors my moods, and interrupts my grading if I am in a bad mood. He won't let me go back to work until I have worked out my stress by walking him, which benefits students!

Please consider adopting a rescue animal if you are considering a new addition to your family. There are so many unwanted, abandoned dogs and cats out there!

If you adopt or acquire a dog or cat, please spay or neuter!

If you have a dog, please give him or her regular heartworm medication! I specialize in fostering the HW+ dogs who have to be kept absolutely quiet. Prevention is much cheaper and easier!

Also known as the VelociBella, Bella is a Corgi mix and the real Head of Security at my house. She walks the perimeter and keeps everyone in line and on track, working to make sure that my life remains orderly so I can focus on teaching and grading.
