The realization of an advanced control system communicating with the renewable generators, HV/MV & MV/LV substations and storage facility.

The realization of an “always on”, IP standard-based communication solution connecting all the relevant nodes in the network (wireless, wired and PLC)

• VR identifies optimal network working conditions (V and I inside allowed ranges)

• VR relies on different controllable resources: – HV/MV substations On Load Tap Changer (OLTC) and capacitor banks– Reactive power injection/absorption by Distributed Generation– Energy Storage System (ESS): active and reactive power injection/absorption

• Energy Storage System State of Charge (SoC) is managed according to load and generation forecasts

• Objective function: to minimize the overall cost of control actions
