Programme Information - BIFM Level 4 Qualifications delivered by MKCTS Ltd What is the BIFM? What is the aim of the BIFM Level 4 in Facilies Management? How will this help with my career progression? What are my costs and entry requirements? How is the training delivered? The Brish Instute of Facilies Management (BIFM) is the professional body for Facilies Management (FM). It promotes excellence in FM for the benefit of praconers, the economy and society. It supports and represents over 14,000 FM professionals and organisaons around the world, and thousands more through qualificaons and training. In 2014 the BIFM awarded MKCTS Ltd with its coveted Centre Recognion. This allows a team of staff at MKCTS, who have experience of FM in the defence, healthcare, crical infrastructure and commercial sectors, to deliver BIFM qualificaons. The aim of the BIFM Level 4 in FM is to give pracsing or potenal first line managers the foundaon for their formal development in this role. The qualificaon will achieve this by developing your comprehensive leadership and management, and your specific FM skills. Aſter one year of experience you will be eligible for Associate Membership of BIFM with the entlement to use the post-nominal ABIFM. Cost will be dependent on qualificaon and method of delivery. The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) is the professional body for Facilities Management (FM). It promotes excellence in FM for the benefit of practitioners, the economy and society. It supports and represents over 14,000 FM professionals and organisations around the world, and thousands more through qualifications and training. In 2014 the BIFM awarded MKCTS Ltd with its coveted Centre Recognition. This allows a team of staff at MKCTS, who have experience of FM in the defence, healthcare, critical infrastructure and commercial sectors, to deliver BIFM qualifications.

The aim of the BIFM Level 4 in FM is to give practising or potential first line managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification will achieve this by developing your comprehensive leadership and management, and your specific FM skills.

After one year of experience you will be eligible for Associate Membership of BIFM with the entitlement to use the post-nominal ABIFM.

What is the likely programme content?

The content is fairly flexible, and modules may change. The lecturing staff can assist you and your line manager with selecting the content to benefit you and your organisation, with a typical programme including:

Award: (totalling min 12 credits max 18 credits)

FM 4.01 (6 credits) Overview of facilities management. (M)

FM4.07 (6 credits) Understanding financial management in facilities management.

Certificate: (totalling min 28 credits max 31 credits) the content of the Award + all ofthe following:

FM4.05 (6 credits) Managing health and safety in own area of facilities management. (M)

FM4.10 (6 credits)Understanding leadership and management in facilities management.

FM4.16 (4 credits) Understanding property and asset management for facilities managers.

FM4.19 (3 credits) Understanding sustainability and environmental issues and the impact on facilities management.

Diploma: (totalling - min 48 credits max 52 credits) the content of the Award, + the content of the Certificate, + the following five units:

FM4.02 (3 credits) Understanding facilities management strategy. (M)

FM4.03 (8 credits) Understanding people management in facilities management. (M)

FM4.04 (6 credits) Understanding facilities management support services operations. (M)
