GENERAL INFORMATION

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your audition time

Your audition will last approximately 20 minutes

You are required to prepare all of the excerpts provided in addition to the general violin

audition excerpts

Please prepare only the top line for this audition (other lines are for contextual

reference only and are not required for this audition)

You are expected to observe all bowings, dynamics, tempi and other instructions on the

excerpts, unless directed otherwise. You will be assessed on tempo, rhythm, dynamics,

phrasing and all rests should be observed accurately

You are also required to prepare a solo work of your own choice of approximately ten

minutes, for which you should provide an accompanist if necessary
