Into the freedom of wind and sunshine

Into the dance of the stars and the planets

Into the wind's breath and the hands of the star-maker

Into the company of angels and all those you love and who love you

There is a time for everything...

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

a time to be silent and a time to speak.

Love is patient, love is kind.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud

It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seekingIt is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes

    Love never fails

For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face

Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

If you can feel loveYoull never be without meThis isnt good byeThis is time to fly free

As free as a birdGliding through the blueIll stretch my spirit wingsFly along beside you

Live it free, oh live it free

Its ok tosmileIt doesnt mean you forgetIts with love you live lifeThere cannot be greaterrespectIf you want to honour me,To honour my memory,Let go of your painLive your life free

Live it free, oh live it free

At the end of each dayCount your blessings my dearDonttry to hold onMove on without fearYou cant grasp at loveYet it follows you like airBreathe in that grace

    And I will be there

Live it free, oh live it free

    Cygnus Review, July 2012

If I should die before the restof youBreak not a flower nor inscribea stoneNor, when I'm gone, speak in aSunday voice,But be the usual selves that Ihave known.Weep if you mustParting is hell. But life goes on.So sing as well.

Her sight is dimmedHer hearing almost goneYet mum's soul shines bright

Her bones are fragileHer breathing is shallowYet mum sleeps soundly at night

Her fingers are twisted yet softHer heart beat is irregularYet Mum's smile is a beautifulsight

She seems like a pawn to betakenBy people who should knowbetterYet mum remains feisty in thefight

Some say poor old soulWhat quality of life is this?Yet mum to her life she holds ontight

Her memory may be fadingHer walk is a shuffleYet mum always tries with allher might

Her skin may be shrivelledAnd dotted with purple blotchesYet to my hand Mum can hold on

    tight

So, Graham GibbensWho decided to close mum's homeIn a court sometime soonMum may cause you a fright

Mum does not mind if she is thelast one in her homeThe fact is it's wrong to threatenher lifeShe wants me to continue - come

    what may

Mum's mandate compels me andI will stand up and sayTo the highest judge in the landIf that's what it takes to makethings right

For my mumWho I will always love very much

    3rdAugust 2011

May the roads rise up tomeet you,May the wind be always at

your back,May the sun shine warmupon your face,May the rains fall soft uponfields

And until we meet againMay God hold you in the

    palm of his hand.

They say memories aregolden,Well, maybe that is true;I never wanted memories,I only wanted you.

A million times I needed you,A million times I cried; If love alone could have saved

    you,You never would have died.

In life I loved you dearly,In death I love you still; In my heart you hold a pieceNo one could ever fill.

But now I know you want me

To mourn for you no more,To remember the happytimesLife still has much in store.

    Since you'll never beforgottenI pledge to you today;

A hallowed place within myheartIs where you'll always stay.

    If tears could build astairway

And heartache make a lane;I'd walk the path to heaven

    And bring you back again.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; But as God calls us one byone,The chain will link again.
