“Twist” before each injection Each pen needle is sterile and designed for single use

Attach a new pen needle before each injection to avoidinfections and other problems caused by dirty, blunt orclogged pen needles. For your comfort and safety, theyshould be used only once. mylife™ Penfine® Classic pen needles are sterile, single-use devices. To avoid the development of Lipohypertrophy, it is recommended to use a new pen needle and a new injection site for each injection3.

There is a strong trend for shorter and thinner pen needles.

Injections with ultra short pen needles (4 mm and 6 mm) provide reliable subcutaneous delivery of insulin, with less pain and reduced risk of intramuscular injection.

The thickness of the skin (epidermis and dermis) of adult patients is rarely > 3 mm 4.

Clinical studies of 4 mm pen needles show that there is no increase in insulin backflow compared with 8 mm pen needles 5,6,7.
