In celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day and how lucky weare to be supported by such an incredible community,the Mystic Irish Parade in year fifteen welcomes andthanks you for joining us this parade day, with Irishspirit and tons of green!
Welcome ALL to the 15th Annual Mystic Irish Parade indowntown Mystic, Connecticut!
The Mystic Irish Parade Foundation, family and friendshave honored the holiday joyously in Irish spirit all monthlong in preparation of the annual parade day! Over a decadeago, a few of friends joined together to celebrate their Celticheritage. In an effort to continue the celebration of theirIrish spirit and cultural traditions with their belovedcommunity, they decided to start planning what is now themost renowned parade in Eastern CT and one of the best inthe state!
The Mystic Irish Parade Foundation continues to celebrateeach year as an 100% volunteer driven organization,supported by team members dedicated to promoting Irishheritage and organizing a spectacular parade for thecommunity! The MIPF is a registered 501c3 nonprofit andall donations are tax deductible.
Each year, a sliver of Ireland is brought to the small townof Mystic, Connecticut and friends & family from near andfar celebrate together in support of the Mystic Irish ParadeFoundation! This organization is composed of anoutstanding team of local residents, business leaders andcommunity volunteers. The dedicated team plans, executesand delivers an unforgettable Mystic Irish Parade that hastransformed into Mystic’s largest single day celebration!
Kicking off at 1:00 pm, the parade, extending from theMystic Seaport Museum to the Mystic Art Association,Grand Marshal’s Rob and Bob Valenti will lead almost2,200 local community members while they marchalongside creatively designed floats and dance to the Celticmusic echoing throughout the village while over 40,000supporters cheer and celebrate the day!
The 2018 Mystic Irish Parade will be host to outstandingpipe bands, more than any other parade in the state, as wellas fife & drum units and high school area marching bands,local business and floats! And, back again this year theworld famous Budweiser Clydesdales!
The parade, funded by proceeds from events, the generosityof local business sponsorships and individual sale of raffletickets, is an annual celebration that has become acommunity wide cultural tradition. Surplus funds from theMystic Irish Parade are donated to local charities in thearea. A sincere thank you to the parade’s sponsors,volunteers, and most importantly…

“The 2018 Grand Marshals, father andson duo Bob & Rob Valenti of theValenti dealerships, continuously giveback to their local community yearafter year and it is an honor to havethem lead this year’s parade,” saysNeil Ryan, Vice President of theMystic Irish Parade Foundation.
The Grand Marshal is carefullyselected each year by the Mystic IrishParade Foundation’s Board ofDirectors. Regardless of theirheritage, the primary prerequisite forleading the parade in this role ishonoring, supporting and being a positive,contributing member in the SoutheasternConnecticut community.
Known for their exceptional customer service andcatchy advertising campaigns, the Valenti familyopened their first automobile dealership in the1920’s. In 1973, Bob Valenti opened the seconddealer location in Mystic, CT. Bob’s son, RobValenti, joined the business in 1986, carrying ona tradition and company culture that began 65years prior. They currently own and operate sevenValenti locations.
The Valenti’s operate a locallyowned company and treat theirclients the same way they treattheir staff, like family! They arecommitted to providing anexceptional experience andoperate their dealerships withintegrity, honesty and arepassionately dedicated to givingback to their community. Theparade is honored to have themas the 2018 Grand Marshals.

Parking is also plentifulin the Olde Mystic Village parking lot however it is amile walk from there to the parade route.
