    November:Gratitude

This month we are focusing on Gratitude for

this months moral focus. We have talked to

the students about things that they are grateful

for and how to appreciate what we have in our

lives, not to take items or people for granite.

Students are making a gratitude jar over the

course of the month to list things they

appreciate in life and are happy for.

We encourage you to talk to your student at

home about their class ratitude ar.

This past week in class, students are typing

up the final copy of their story. Final stories

are due on the 21st ELECTRONICALLYONLY. Each class had time in class Monday

and Tuesday to type their papers. All

students also needed to turn in their

graphic organizers, rough drafts, peer edits

    and checklist.

With book clubs; students had their weekly

quiz on the most recent chapters read in

class, five and six. When students return

from break we will spend the rest of ourwinter time together finishing The Hunger

    Games.

Students will be receiving a calendar that

will state what they are doing every day

until winter break begins. This way all

students will finish the book before winter

break than leaving the 2012 school year

with a few chapters to go. Please be on the

lookout for these calendars to come home

    to you next week!
