H.B.C.P Now has Portable Basketball Courts!!

H.B.C.P recently purchased two portable basketball courts. During selective P.E. days, our scholars in grades 4th-7th will have the opportunity

to play a game of

basketball.

H.B.C.P’s 2nd Annual African American Program-This Friday!

Hardy Brown College Prep’s 2nd Annual African American Program will be held this Friday, February 27th. Each grade level will perform a short play, song, timeline, dance

etc. Last year the event was a HUGE success! You won’t want to miss it. Save the

date! See pictures below of the marquee outside of Sturges Center for the Fine Arts.

Ending Trimester 2 Strong! This week scholars have been taking important summative

assessments and have also been practicing their performance for the African American Program. It is important that our scholars are

present each day this week to ensure they have completed their

assessments for Trimester 2.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are

being held during the weeks of March 2nd-5th, and March 9th-13th.

Make sure to schedule a conference with your child’s

teacher.

H.B.C.P is Now Enrolling

Grades K-8th for the

2015-2016 school year! Spread the word to others!

The first TWO families to refer 4

different families to Hardy Brown College Prep, will have an

opportunity to win a gift basket with a family of 4 dinner and

movies prize on us. All families must be referred by Tuesday, March

31st. Please see Ms. Becerra for more details.

Perfect Attendance Luncheon Any scholar who has zero absences in Trimester 1 AND Trimester 2, were/are

invited to a Perfect Attendance Luncheon along with their parent(s)/guardian(s). On

February 20th we hosted our fist Perfect Attendance Luncheon for grades 3rd-5th.

This week, on February 27th from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. we will host the Perfect

Attendance Luncheon for grades K-2 and 6th7th. Thank you for bringing your

child(ren) to school every day, on time!

Each week during the month of

February, our scholars have been

learning about two influential

African Amercians a week. This

week, during the last week of

February, our scholars are

learning about Sojourner Truth

and Charles Drew. Artwork and

wrtitten work are displayed in

the MPR (see picture below).
