decorations and food. We are blessed to have such a hard working bunch on tcommittee. The Lilies and other plants were lovely. Thanks to all of you whooffered them. I know for many it’s a gift to be able to provide them in memorfor those we were close to. It was especially important for me this year. Thank
for that opportunity.
It was also lovely to see so many faces in worship. What joy and energy arise wwe come together in that way! And Jordan Bemrose on the trumpet really mathe day complete for me. There are many ways to celebrate the resurrection oour Lord, but this past Sunday’s worship was particularly meaningful for me.
Thanks for joining me in worship and bringing your celebrative energy with yIt was truly an Easter blessing!

At the one and a half hour workshop, wewill learn a multitude of ways of praying that are effective for the lifestyles we lead. These will include prayers for those whoneed to move around, for those who enjoysilence and for those who would like to focuson scripture in their prayer life. A soupsupper will be provided. Please RSVP byemailing Stacy at [email protected] or by calling the church office.
Prayer WorkshopWe are going to try it again. There were a few interested parties who have nocome together to agree on a date. If you are interested in entering more fullyinto a mature prayer life you are invited to attend our prayer workshopon Sunday, May 5th after church.
Prayer is an important part of any thriving Christian faith. However, many ohave never spent any time working on our prayer lives since we were in Sundschool as children. And reality is that the prayers that used to be meaningfulmay not bring us the comfort they once did.

Constitution and Bylaws Change
Congregational Meeting, April 7th at 11:45am
At the Annual Meeting in January it was requested that the Constitution and Bylaws be changed so that the
number of people on the Diaconate and Board of Christian Education could be changed. The following is the
wording that the Church Council is suggesting for that change. The changes are in red.
A. DIACONATE: The Diaconate Board shall consist of ten (10) to twelve (12) members, three or four (4) of whom shall be elected annually to serve for a term of three (3) years. Members may serve a maximum of
two (2) consecutive terms (6 years). A person may be re-elected after one year off the Board.
C. BOARD OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: The Board of Christian Education shall consist of the Pastor,
and four to five elected members. These elected members may serve a maximum of two (2) consecutive
three (3) year terms (6 years). A person may be re-elected after one year off the board.
We will have the second reading and vote on the Bylaw changes above on April 7th following worship. The
amendment requires a two-thirds vote of the members present at the second reading.
