Constitution and Bylaws Change

Congregational Meeting, April 7th at 11:45am

At the Annual Meeting in January it was requested that the Constitution and Bylaws be changed so that the

number of people on the Diaconate and Board of Christian Education could be changed. The following is the

wording that the Church Council is suggesting for that change. The changes are in red.

A. DIACONATE: The Diaconate Board shall consist of ten (10) to twelve (12) members, three or four (4) of whom shall be elected annually to serve for a term of three (3) years. Members may serve a maximum of

two (2) consecutive terms (6 years). A person may be re-elected after one year off the Board.

C. BOARD OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: The Board of Christian Education shall consist of the Pastor,

and four to five elected members. These elected members may serve a maximum of two (2) consecutive

three (3) year terms (6 years). A person may be re-elected after one year off the board.

We will have the second reading and vote on the Bylaw changes above on April 7th following worship. The

amendment requires a two-thirds vote of the members present at the second reading.
