ozingo Music has been in the O’Fallon area since March of 2006. We are a family owned

and operated business since 1972. My father Don Mozingo started the business making it grow until the mid 90’s. My brother and I took over the business at that point and have grown it to where it is today. My family is my rock. My wife Rhonda is a counselor in the Rockwood School District, I have 2 awesome children, Beth is 29, married to Tony and is an elementary school 4th grade teacher and she has blessed us with 2 beautiful grand children, Asher and Lincoln, twin boys!! My son Chris is a mechanic and is engaged to be married this coming January. I’m very proud of our children.

I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1983 with a Bachelor in Performance degree. I have played in the St. Louis Philharmonic Orchestra, played for Sammy Davis Jr. and The Fifth Dimension and am currently playing for Contemporary Christian Artist Mark Roach and the praise band at Morning Star Church in O’Fallon.

Mozingo Music is all about music education and providing the most

positive experience in music one can have. We have the best music instructors in the St. Louis and St. Charles areas offering more than just single private lessons. We have a fi ne arts academy that is in the process of changing the name to Mozingo Center for Creative Arts as a nonprofi t organization. We offer dance classes and musical theater productions as well as acting. Mozingo Rock University offers students the opportunity to perform in a rock band learning how to rehearse and then have a concert showing off their talents as a musical group. We rent instruments of all kinds to students to participate in the school bands and orchestras as well as having an onsite repair facility at our Ellisville location. Our retail showrooms are dedicated to the combo musicians providing the best in drum sets, guitars, keyboards and all accessories for those instruments.

Our mission/vision is to provide the best possible experience in music for any age through instruction as well as offering a quality instrument at a fair price to accomplish that. Great music begins here.

This mission really hasn’t changed much over the years. We’ve always

MEMBER SPOTLIGHTMOZINGO MUSIC

M been dedicated to students and getting them started in music.

When you come into a Mozingo Music store you will be greeted in a courteous manner by our awesome staff that will truly listen to what you need musically and given the service you deserve. In a world now with all of the latest technology we tend to forget how to talk with people and build a healthy and positive relationship knowing that when we return to that establishment we will be taken care of without a single doubt. We provide that type service to each one of our customers, give us a try!

I’m looking forward to continuing music education in our schools and being the source for all that is music. The students of today are our future in music. There is something to be said for visiting a local store and getting the best instruction and equipment for a lifetime of enjoyment in music. Mozingo Music provides that and we’re excited to be able to be that for anyone wanting to express their emotions through music.

Leads, leads and more leads; that’s what members of our (you guessed it) Leads Groups are getting. In June of this year we started our third leads

generating group, and it too is going strong. Are you one of the 74 leads group members? If your industry is already represented, are you on the waiting list? I encourage you to look into this valuable use of your time and visit the Masters of Business, O’Fallon Elite, or Leads 2 Success groups.

Speaking of leads, we’ll take some too! We hope that you are excited about your membership in the O’Fallon Chamber and hope that it has been and continues to be a solid investment for your company. Having said that I would encourage you to bring a guest with you to a Chamber function or pass along a name or two of businesses that you believe would benefi t from membership in the O’Fallon Chamber. This year we have only comp’d one membership, but have fi ve more members getting very close! Remember, if you recruit 4, you’ll pay no more (or at least for a year).

While a free lunch and a year of free membership for you are great incentives, the real benefi t is for our entire organization. It means that our Chamber is crawling with new businesses to network with. New people to learn about and new people to listen to what you’re all about so that we can all be on the lookout for referrals. It means that we have new like-minded people to exchange ideas with, to be a source of information, and a colleague to bounce ideas off.

New memberships also mean that our organization is fulfi lling its mission. When we grow the number of businesses that we work for, we are also helping to strengthen the economic vitality of our community; remember a rising tide raises all boats.

Until next month,

Fall Pest-Proofi ng... Look for cockroaches, spiders and rodents of all kinds to start coming inside from the cold!

Fall is a favorite season for many, as it signals the beginning of colorful leaves and crisp weather. But for many pests, the change in season indicates the need to fi nd refuge from the cold winter ahead. Fall pest-proofi ng can play in keeping pests from making their home in yours.

Mick’s Exterminating recommends these fairly simple and effective “Fall Pest-Proofi ng” tips:• Install door sweeps on exterior doors, repair damaged screens, screen vents and chimney openings.• Seal cracks and crevices on the outside of the home, including areas where utilities and pipes enter.• Store food in airtight containers and dispose of garbage regularly in sealed receptacles.• Store fi rewood at least 20 feet away from the house; keep shrubbery well-trimmed.• Eliminate all moisture sites, including leaking pipes and clogged drains.• If you suspect a pest infestation, contact Mick’s Exterminating!

We want to keep building and growing, so we continue to offer any new customers $10 OFF any Pest Service and $50 OFF any Termite Service.

Mick’s Exterminating, 8491 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, O’Fallon, MO 63366, 636-978-5700, www.micksexterminating.com.
