    Welcome to term three, I hope you have all survived the winter months, itseems that there has been some particularly nasty bugs going around andeveryone seems to have been affected in some way, just a friendly reminder,please do not send your child to Uxbridge if they have a green discharge fromtheir noses. This does mean they have an infection that can easily be passedon to other children and also staff members.

    Lost Property - Can you all please check the lost property box for anyitems which may have been left behind?

    Please name all your childs possessions. We have many identical itemssuch as drink bottles! We do need to know which item is your childs.Clearly naming items also supports your childs emerging literacy.

    Food allergies - a reminder that we are a nut free zone and that popcornand glad wrap are choking hazards. Glad Wrap does not show up on anxray. Please keep all hard boiled eggs at home.

    Fees - Please pay all outstanding fees before the end of term. If you haveany queries regarding this, please speak to Joanne or Melanie.

    REMINDERS!!!!

    It is with much regret that I advise everyone

    the Tracey has resigned from UxbridgeEarly Learning Centre. Tracey has been with Uxbridge for almost 5 years andwe are all sad to see her go, Tracey has been a wonderful teacher and friendto us all over the years and has done so much for the Centre, going above andbeyond including all the little things that people don't see and she doeswithout any hesitation. We wish her all the best for her future endeavors.Tracey's last day will be Friday 06 Sept, please take the time to say goodbyeto her.

    I would also like to WELCOME Katie Gibbs to the teaching team, Katie hastaken over from Liz for a couple of months, while Liz is on a much deserved

    holiday in Europe. Katie has been with us for a few weeks now and she is anabsolute pleasure and has fit into the Uxbridge Team with ease.

    Fundraising this term is the Boys Night & Father's Day RaffleWe were going to be doing the Cadbury Chocolates but we havedecided against it and we will looking at doing the Chocolatesnext year.

    Fundraising in Term 4 we will have the following

    * Calendars - we will start doing the Calendar Order at the endof October so that we can have them all back in time for peopleto send them overseas before the Christmas rush.

    * Christmas Raffle, we will be doing the annual Christmas Rafflefor the end of year Christmas Party, more details will follow nextterm.

    Meanwhile if you have any fundraising ideas that you would liketo see happen please dont hesitate to put your ideasforward to either myself or the teaching team and we can look at

    them for next year.

    Please note that we have decided to close for the 2nd week ofthe School Holidays this term, this is to give our staff a muchneeded holiday.The School Holiday Programme will run from Monday 30September through to Thursday 03 October. The centre willthen reopen on Monday 14 October.

    SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMME

    PARENT SURVEY A parent survey will be put into your pockets in the coming weeks.

    Please take the time to complete and return the form. The survey is confidential and a valuable tool inidentifying areas of success and also ascertaining where parents feel resources should be targeted in thefuture. The results are integrated in the Centre's short and long term planning strategies, so please behonest - we'd really like to know what you think! There will be a prize for one lucky person.

    RELIEVERS LIST

    Are you a NZ Qualified ECE or PrimaryRegistered Teacher or know someonewho is and might be looking for somework, let us know and we can addyou/them to our relievers list.

    You will have all received the invite toour annual Boys Night, I hope that all theMales/Dads/Grandads/Uncles are able tocome along and celebrate this awesomenight, We do need some volunteers onthe night, if you are able to help out withthe BBQ/lolly stand/Drinks Stand, pleaselet one of the teachers know. We willdraw the Raffle on the night, so please ifyou can donate 1 "Manly Item" item forthe hampers before Monday 3rd Sept.

    All proceeds will go into purchasing newresources for the children

    BOYS NIGHTTERM FEES

    Please remember that all Term Fees MUST be paid

    prior to the term Ending. If you are having problemspaying please see either Joanne, Melanie or myself toput a payment plan in process, any outstanding feesthat are not paid before the new term can jeopardiseyour child's attendance for that term.

    We can no longer offer Casual Spaces or HolidayProgramme Spaces for families that have outstandingfees from the previous term.

    I am in the process of changing the Uxbridge EarlyLearning Centre Bad Dept policy that will be availablefor all families to read through and provide feedbackbefore the new policy comes into place.
